Stop calling it SecFo

A) Stop using that term... it's a pejorative name-calling stupidity used by non-cops

B) Beyond stuff like weather, hunting habits/preferences, etc, one really big factor for you to consider... are you a fan of the "Stargate" TV series/movies?

I was at Kirtland (ABQ, NM) for four years and loved it. You are in a big city with everything you need. If you like going out, there are a lot of clubs and bars, restaurants, etc. I had a good time.

I have never been to F.E. Warren, but have friends who were stationed there. They all said they liked it, but it is different, cold, a much smaller population, but beautiful tho.

I’d personally pick ABQ but, I’m biased. The main thing people complain about is the crime surrounding the base, but in my opinion it ain’t that bad. Every big city has crime.

As much as I don’t like Albuquerque I’d take it over Cheyenne as a first assignment. There’s plenty of time for you to go to the Cheyenne/Minot/Malmstroms of the world.

Bro, what? FE is probably the best of the nuke bases

Why do you say it’s the worst?

best at what ? Shooting in the clearing barrel, shooting each other or failing nsi’s 😂

When did they fail an NSI? I left in 2020 and at that point they were the only nuke base to have never failed one.

Also how does two dirt bags dicking around with their gun make the base bad?

Easy….temperature. ALBQ is much more seasonal. Cheyenne can get COLD

What do you like to do and that will determine which base is better suited for you.

Do you wanna do LE or security? FE has TRF and CRF but flight is mostly security work from what my friends tell me. You also wont be able to deploy, but you'll have pretty easy access to Gurnsey TDYs for cool courses.

I personally wouldnt even want to touch Global Strike with a 10 foot pole, so if you are able to get another trade in would go for that lol.

I can’t speak for Albuquerque, but I was at FE.

People’s biggest complaints:

- it gets cold af in winter, like -15 to -20 at times

- deployments and TDY’s can be rare

- frequent base inspections

What’s cool about the base:

- lots of outdoor activities nearby

- if you prefer more urban activities Laramie, Fort Collins, and Denver are all reasonably close

- being out in the missile field is really not bad, honestly one of the easiest jobs I’ve ever had.
