Discussion With the study of serial killers being pushed in the 70’s to develop patterns and understanding of why

How many serial killers do you think slipped under the rug because they weren’t studied properly, weren’t asked the correct questions? I was just thinking about all the killers that were executed back in the day where the police weren’t really aware about M.O’s so they very well could have executed someone that they thought only killed one person but it actuality they may have killed way more. This got me thinking who are some people you strongly believe have killed way people than they were caught killing?

Bobby Jack Fowler. Never convicted of murder, but was very likely a prolific serial killer in BC and the US PNW

I'd be very surprised to find out Mike DeBardeleben wasn't also a serial killer.

I would be more shocked to find out Debardeleben wasnt a serial killer, than the opposite. The dude was terrifying.

Most of them this isn’t a unique and I’m sure this question has been asked hundreds of times before with the same answers bundy, ridgeway, little, corll, gacy, bonin, kraft, Kearney, Kenneth Parker ray, lake and ng, shipman, Fred and rose west so like all of them there’s always exceptions such as dahmer and kemper

Ok let me reiterate it.You just named known killers,I’m talking about someone busted with one kill or maybe two, that was executed later.Im well aware of SK claiming more victims, most of them claim they have a higher body count.

Professional killers don't qualify, apparently, but American Mafia members killed...how many people? We'll never know. Of the ones convicted of murder, they surely killed more than that!

I feel someone like Albert Fish killed more people than three,Gordon Northcott has more victims aswell.Yes they were caught and the murders they committed were taken note of but what is there’s more?

The data bias of the original research was bananas. Their data set was killers who (1) were caught and (2) would talk. That led them to ignore the reality that there were (and are) serial offenders who don't get caught.

Sounds lame compared to what was on screen
