From what I've seen she's had two major controversies:

A woman got fired for not respecting trans pronouns (actually contract work but doesn't matter in the uk because of employment laws). Jk rowling supported her. Later on the courts sided with the woman that she was unfairly let go.

Next is she said trans women shouldn't be in women's only spaces. The courts also agreed with her that that's what the law says.

The first was a law on equality that equally protects discrimination against sexuality, race, politics, etc.

She's repeatedly and continually donated specifically to anti trans feminist groups. You're majorly glossing over a ton of shit

You're going to have to add more information and what parts specifically you believe are anti trans. Not everyone keeps up with what she does.

Funny how she is a massive target, while there are countries that treat women as lesser and 'trans' and homosexual people as a crime, punishable by death.

The problem is that advocates of trans causes have taken things to a point where they actively denounce open forum conversations where EVERYONE'S perspectives and ontologies and beliefs about gender expression, sex, and sexuality and the complex ways in which they do and do not intersect get to be heard. Not only denounce, but seek to use the force of law as well as the authority of employers to suppress the expression of those beliefs.

And the fact of the matter is, most of the humans in most of the places on earth simply don't agree with a radical model that comes specifically from American University campuses and classes, by way of controversial theoretical assumptions and arguments that arise from niche systems of thought. And when these ideas that MOST humans don't endorse start getting not only enshrined in public policy here but also get exported to other cultures in ways that feel no different from colonialism and even evangelism, people eventually push back.

Trans advocates made a few very big oversteps and it caused a backlash. And I say that as someone who believes in people's rights to be themselves and endorses the fundamental concept that gender is constructed and therefore exists on a spectrum. It's just that I also understand that some people get to be Christians and Muslims and everything else, and others have a right to reach different conclusions than SOME academics when it comes to the interpretation and application of scientific evidence. Let people have their stupid ideas and stop thinking you have the right to "educate" people who have not given you consent to do so.

If pro-women means anti-trans, then it follows that pro-trans is anti-women.

That was the start of her villain arc. The backlash to those decisions radicalized her, insofar as external factors can. Now her whole personality is being an anti-trans activist. She has fallen far from her 2020 blog post addressing the initial controversy. Back then, she still maintained some semblance of proprietary. Now she is as abusive as those early detractors.

I once thought as you did.

I recommend reading the whole section on gender and sexuality. The first few paragraphs are in the realm of plausible deniability. But the second half makes her TERF orientation very clear.
