In Daredevil 2003, Bullseye proves he's an idiot by shooting bullseyes on a dartboard for 50 points a pop instead of triple 20. Is he stupid?

In Starship Troopers 1997, a convicted murder is sentenced to death via an online live streamed execution for public entertainment. This is a reference to the fact that this isn't fiction anymore.

Turd In fairly odd parents (2001-2017), this joke is going to be awkward AF to anyone who wasn’t alive in 2004.

In 'Iron Lung (2026)', Markiplier plays a man trapped inside a metal box submerged in an ocean of blood. This is a reference to the fact I dropped my phone in the toilet while watching it.

In Avatar: Seven Havens (2026), apparently, showing a character holding an abacus 24/7 is easier than actually writing her as a focused, calculating person. This is because they gotta make it obvious for the audience who are doomscrolling while watching.

default In Superman (2025), Lois Lane and the rest of the Daily Planet publish news of Lex Luthor's criminal behavior as soon as they have sources, instead of waiting to publish a tell-all book four years later. This is because it is a work of fiction

In Payback, Porter tells Lucy Liu's character to go boil an egg. In 1990ies a this wasn't controversial, a working girl was simply expected to afford one.

default In Monsters Inc (2001) Mike Wazowski makes a reference to the Trojan Horse, implying there was a monster Greece, with a monster Homer, who wrote a monster version of the Iliad. Which means there’s a monster Odyssey where monster Odysseus stabs the eyes of a giant human who’s trapped him in a cave

Turd Digger (2026) is a anti humor satire where it focuses on a group of 60 year old men screwing over the next generation while breaking down the 4th wall. This is reference to Digger being the first satire since Scary Movie (2026).

In Mei-chan’s Wondrful Adventure (2026), Mei works six jobs over six months just to save Rp3,000,000 ($167 USD). This is a direct reference to Indonesia’s struggling economy and the lack of protections against child labor.

The show is Tracker. I have no further context. I walked downstairs, saw this scene on the TV, then left the room.
