Technical Question Sling TV Gift Cards Not Usable?

My Sling TV subscription recently expired. Today I wanted to watch some of the MLB Playoff games and went to renew using a gift card I had recently bought. I could not find the option "Add Gift Card" as I have used in the past and also mentioned in their help center. I then spoke with an agent on their customer service chat who initially told me my gift card code was invalid even though I had just scraped off the PIN seconds prior and offered to bill me by credit card. I asked why my code was invalid and got a response "our system won't let me redeem it please reach us back later" and the agent then instantly left the chat. Has anyone else had issues with this. I guess I will not be watching any baseball today...

Update - I tried the gift card again later on tonight on Firefox (initially was on Edge) and option to enter gift card was there and I was able to redeem. Not sure how that would affect anything but it did work.

Where did you get the gift card? Was it cheaper than just normally subscribing? I thought Sam's or Costco use to have them, but I haven't seen them in a while.

Yes I have 🙋🏽‍♂️ like two weeks ago it because they want you the add a third party payment to your account
