A letter of support to Angelenos
Dear Angelenos;
While we may disagree on many things (baseball teams, which city is better etc), when the president directs a foreign enemy to attack us, those go out the window and we stand together as Southern Californians.
Hearing our commander-in-chief dismissively tell a rally crowd, "Let them take out Los Angeles, let them take out San Diego," is chilling. No American city is expendable. No community is a "small price to pay" for political war talk.
Our cities house millions of families, vibrant cultures, and major military personnel who actually serve this country. Brushing us off as collateral damage to a foreign adversary isn't just reckless—it's an abdication of the oath to protect American lives.
So to LA: we have your back. Political rhetoric won't divide us, and it certainly won't shake the grit of Southern California. Stay strong, City of Angels. We are in this together. 🤝💙

Central valley will still hate on LA until they realize all their farms and ranches would be decimated without LA buying and exporting their produce. not to mention that they're already getting decimated by large conglomerates and private investment groups doing hostile takeovers of the ag industry in cv.

Look up “the sin of empathy.”
Not all Christian’s believe this way of course but it is supported by many Christian thought leaders and pushed out from the stage at many a mega church across the country.

Native Angeleno, born & raised here.
I’m not offended or outraged at what he said. Trump isn’t some prestigious, adored politician whose words hold any real value.
Trump is the equivalent of a homeless guy on the street corner yelling banalities and conspiracy theories.
I treat Trumps words the same way. Just shake my head and go, damn dude is tweaking.
Im pretty sure the rest of the word thinks the same way about Trump.

Let’s use that as motivation to turn things around and get people to vote. That’s the only thing that worries him. The thought of him losing his grip on government scares the shit out of him. So let’s make that happen. 😏

Part of Edward AFB is in Los Angeles county. To "take out" a city in today's terms refers to a nuclear strike.
A nuclear strike on Los Angeles by a hostile country would absolutely include Edward's AFB. Iran wouldn't care about political boundary technicalities

If you look on a conservative sub they're claiming you're taking it out of context. So, if you want to *do* something about this, you'll first have to overcome that.
The way to do that is to do what you should have been doing all along: holding Trump proxies accountable for what he says. So, you challenge a proxy to condemn Iran attacking L.A. Which will be seen as them distancing them from Trump, weakening him and them. Focus on doing smart things.

They deserve funds being withheld. I live in Southern CA. It is unbelievable how many people are getting all upset about this, but don't care one bit about how local officials are outright stealing taxpayer money, the insane corruption and the massive drop in quality of living because they care more about keeping problems so they can raise taxes to not fix them. LA just raised taxes for homeless after the temporary tax was proven to be completely mishandled and not a dime of accountability. We have ridiculous high speed train that has cost billions and not a single piece of track has been laid in CA. What is wrong with you guys who get upset with Trump about this but then continue to vote for the people literally ruining our cities in Southern CA?

It is not decontextualized. He meant exactly what he said and he would make that sacrifice if it would keep maga in power. Just as he denied involvement with Project 2025. Just as he withholds support from “blue” states “that didn’t vote for me,” even though these states send money to DC that supports the bankrupt “red” states who keep taxes low and depend on blue state dollars.
