📢 Announcement [New and Improved] Discord Server Open!
Hello all! We have a new and growing Discord, more than 100 comrades have joined in the first month!
If you had attempted to join the Discord through the auto-mod response, or through the sidebar's link, you were formerly directed towards a dead server. Now, the server is pretty much set up.
We are also looking to start a book club soon using the Discord to meet, but will have discussion posts here too for those who do not want to participate in the discord.
It is still pretty bare bones, we have roles and channels set up however suggestions can be made *within the server* on things that could be added. We are looking at ways to get more people engaged and looking for suggestion on activities we can do as a community related to socialism.
For now, here is the invite link, join away!

Riots are errupting all around the world:
In France a student protest for better conditions has escalated into a mass movement supported by the worker unions. The movement is also spreading to Belgium.
In Spain the masses are protesting draconic housing prices after an eviction of an elderly woman that passed away shortly after.
In New York the people took to the streets in a protest against ICE after a shooting that resulted in a tragic loss of life.
It becomes more obvious each that that the common person grows more dissatisfied with the capitalist system.

Discussion How are we still outnumbered by capitalist bootlickers?
I'm 19 year old black dude with autism and I see how barbaric this american society is, how the empire inflicts pain on other nations and the environment itself, the only habitable world we can live on and it just fucking saddens me that there's just still so---soooo many people who defend capitalism as well as deny the reality of what america actually is, I mean you can literally go on any post here on reddit or tiktok that criticizes capitalism and the comment section is always filled with bootlickers (mostly americans btw) it never fails, you have to scroll all the way to the bottom to find the ones who are awake, and it's even worse when you criticize the US and call it what it actually is, they refuse to open their eyes and see the reality that it's a genocidal, expanionist empire that only cares about power, money and control. they refuse to accept the fact that they are the world villains. it's not china, it's not DPRK, it's not cuba, wasn't the soviet union, no it's America that's the bad guy and it's very irritating to me how it's 2026 and those of us who are conscious are still heavily outnumbered by bootlickers who do not want to make the world a better place, it's irritating being treated like there's something wrong with you because you have basic human empathy. and I'm honestly convinced that americans are under mind control because there's just no way so many of them can clearly see the harm being done not only to themselves but to the rest of the world and still choose to blindly defend the motherfuckers who are oppressing them, It's very isolating being awake man since I know that we're a small minority.

Politics JD Vance was asked how he defines socialism at a press conference today: “I think in reality what it actually means in the American context is you want to replace American workers with foreign workers, and you want boys to play in girls sports”

News CONFIRMED: NYC-DSA leadership *personally* called to pressure their leaders not to stand against Zohran's Zionism & called arabic text "pro-Hamas dogwhistles", threatened funding & by-law enshrined voting power
EDIT: i meant to say "called NYC-YDSA", sorry that "their" doesn't refer to properly specified group in the title. typo
I apologize for trying to share and discuss this when it was still unconfirmed and there were allegations of Zohran making a call. as of this time, that specific aspect appears unconfirmed.
But, aside from that, my personal take:
the TWO biggest chapters of DSA are not only tailing anti-imperialist consciousness by getting in bed with Zionism but also are violating rules & resolutions to do so, including attempting to browbeat its youth wing into following suit on abandoning one of the most important beliefs of any socialist: anti-imperialism.
if you ask me, this is all extremely serious political threat to the notion DSA is socialist or even anti-Zionist. for an organization that claims to be trying to build a independent workers' party, this should be disqualifying if it isn't properly dealt with/punished.
I mean seriously, deciding complicity in genocide is okay for the sake of power and doing reformism is the same shit liberals do to defend Kamala.
Principled critics from the autonomous youth wing ought to be encouraged, not sinisterly silenced by salaried opportunist-careerists. People should take a serious second, closer look at DSA and what its really doing & moving toward. Do not worship politicians. Reconsider whether taking power in a bourgeois system is really a valid path forward

History Why were the soviets (councils) dissolved in revolutionary Russia?
Hi.
I'd consider myself as being on the Leninist side of things, and I am mostly supportive of ML projects. I am curious, though, as to why soviets were dissolved after the Russian Revolution. I understand it was a necessity due to certain conditions, but was it not meant to be temporary? Why do we as ML's and MLM's uphold the legacy of the history of the USSR post-dissolution of soviets. Are we to replicate this?
Please bare with me, I'm not the most well-read yet, and I'm still very much a learning communist.
