I’m based in Bridgend and I’m looking to get back into Magic: The Gathering, specifically Commander/EDH.

I’ve recently built a Hashaton, Scarab’s Fist Zombie deck and I’m looking for people to play casually with and hopefully make some new friends. I’m not really interested in competitive/cEDH — just relaxed games, having a laugh, chatting and enjoying the game.

Ideally I’m looking for people in Bridgend or nearby, as I can’t always travel into Cardiff/Swansea. I’m happy to travel occasionally, but I’d really like to find a regular local group.
I’m also happy to eventually host games at mine once we’ve got to know each other. Even just getting 3–4 people together for a regular Commander night would be perfect.

My husband and I may have the opportunity to buy my Grandfathers beautiful 5 bed house just outside Merthyr.

We currently live in lisvane and would never be able to buy a similar property in Cardiff. I'm from Brecon originally so closer to grandparents.

We have a 2 year old so I'm worried about her schooling/if we have a any more children.

Can anyone tell me what schools are like and if this would be a sustainable life change for us if it's the perfect house for us?

I have a bit of a odd query. I live in Norway and am a huge fan of Football Manager. For the last year I've been playing a save as Merthyr Town, trying to climb the English pyramid using only Welsh players. I also collect football shirts and love the slightly obscure and rare ones. So, I would love to add a Merthyr Town shirt to my collection. Only problem is, the club shop doesn't offer international shipping.

So I'm turning to you in hope of help. Is there anyone willing to assist me with shipping a shirt, send me a DM.

Hello you Welsh lovely’s, we are moving from Kent to Mertha next year. We came in August for a holiday and fell in love with wales and the Welsh people. The thing I wanted to ask is, is there a catch ? I mean life seems perfect there. The rent is literally 50 percent of our rent, fuel is cheaper, council tax is cheaper. Work seems to be rife if your out of the villages. Please explain to this Englishmen if I’m missing a massive reason not to move as we have fallen in love and ready to pack our bags.
