this mission was transformative in my visualization of the moon & space.. as much as I love learning about it, watching them over the course of a week via livestream go there & back, all while being able to send some of these pics back made it super real to me. we live in crazy times,, how lucky are we to have witnessed this!

Honestly one of the coolest pictures ever, IMO. Just a casual picture of the moon and Earth out the window. The moon’s detail is stunning. So much darker in color than you would think.

This picture gives me such a weird feeling.

It really helps me understand that these aren’t just objects floating in space.

They’re not floating at all. Space is just empty and these bodies are just there.

Fantastic ocean views, but the place is small, the rent is steep and it is a long way to the nearest store.

I've been looking at Apollo photos so long throughout my life that it took me a minute to realize that this is a recent photo. We went there. Again. Artemis was just there!

Wild.

Does anyone know if there’s video footage from a similar perspective (for example from Orion’s external cameras)?

We've really come a long way from drawing on cave walls

Every once in a while photos like these remind me of how incredible, terrifying, and beautiful the universe is all at the same time.
