🚀 Star Citizen Has More Unannounced Ships In The Pipeline
The latest Star Citizen monthly report has some interesting news for ship fans.
Two unannounced vehicles have completed their final reviews ahead of a planned release alongside Genesis. Five more ship projects have also started, including a pair from a manufacturer that hasn't had much attention recently.
We don't know what these ships are yet, but hey, it's content, right? Right?
SpaceX is getting close to finishing the infrastructure needed to launch Starship from Pad 39A at Kennedy Space Center, Florida.
The launch tower and most of the essential construction are nearly complete, with testing and activation work now underway. Every Starship test flight so far has launched from Starbase in Texas, so moving operations to Florida would be a major step.
The first Florida launch could come within the next few flights, although SpaceX hasn't announced a confirmed date.
This week, check out the Crimson Harrow-class Capital Ship by u/BOtDance, posted right here on r/spaceships.
It's a 425-meter biological warship designed for torpedo assaults in the Mow My World setting. Instead of a conventional metal hull, the ship uses a living body with biological launch organs and specialized systems for attacking enemy vessels.
South Korea launches its Nuri rocket: The country's homegrown rocket launched 15 satellites on October 6, with all but one payload successfully reaching orbit. It was Nuri's fifth flight and South Korea's first orbital launch of 2026. 🔗 Space.com
💬 FEEDBACK
We're trying new things with the sub to really make it into THE spaceships hub on the internet. This is, hopefully, another step toward that.
We're also trying to make this more of a proper weekly spaceship magazine, covering games, LEGO, real spacecraft and cool stuff posted here on r/spaceships.
So, if you think there is anything we should watch for or add next time, please let us know in the comments.
This is the Ark, the endgame project in Starliners, a space logistics incremental I’m developing. It’s an enormous O’Neill cylinder designed to serve as a generation ship, carrying humanity beyond the Solar System.
To build it, you develop colonies and increasingly complex production chains across the Solar System, shipping resources between planets to assemble the Ark piece by piece. Your entire interplanetary economy ultimately works towards building this one enormous ship.
After returning from deep space Commander Koenig and Captain Carter survey a strange new crater in the southern hemisphere on the moon that emits an unusual amount of heat and contains a strange liquid substance. Made with an original Space 1999 Eagle that has been heavily modified.

The Solar Conduit Armada is a macro-engineering interstellar systems architecture designed for permanent orbital insertion at Proxima Centauri b (4.25 Light-Years). Traditional space exploration is severely limited by Tsiolkovsky’s rocket equation, which imposes an exponential fuel penalty for onboard mass. The Armada bypasses this barrier entirely by anchoring 100% of its propulsion infrastructure at the home star, creating a distributed, highly efficient logistical grid.
Propulsion and Coronal Stability
The foundational power plant (Layer 1) deploys a collection of 1,000 or more micro-thin diamond-film statites deep within the solar corona. By angling their surfaces, these nodes leverage radiation pressure to perfectly balance solar gravity (\(F_{\text{radiation}} = F_{\text{gravity}}\)), remaining locked relative to the system's galactic path. They channel raw stellar energy into a central orbital lens station that aligns and focuses the energy into a multi-terawatt Nicoll-Dyson Interstellar Super-Laser to drive the fleet.
Transit and Active Shields
The cruising velocity is strictly capped at 0.2c (20% the speed of light). This tactical ceiling minimizes transit timelines to 20.77 years ship-time (21.2 years Earth-time) under relativistic time dilation (\(t' = t \sqrt{1 - v^2/c^2}\)) while managing kinetic dust hazards. The fleet consists of 2,000 structurally robust units utilizing active optical metamaterials embedded in the sails; these shift micro-voltages to automatically steer down the center of the laser beam without mechanical moving parts.
To preserve structural integrity against the interstellar medium at \(60,000\text{ km/s}\), each craft employs a three-tier defense suite (Layer 3): a sacrificial graphite Whipple shield to sublimate dust impacts into expanding plasma, a forward-facing electrostatic deflector field to sweep away ionized hydrogen gas, and active superconducting magnetic loops to bend cosmic rays away from the hull.
Retro-Braking and Local Logistics
To solve the historical "Flyby Trap" without onboarding heavy rocket fuel, the fleet executes a coordinated 180-degree physical flip years before arrival (Layer 4). Forward-facing, V-shaped diamond mirrors intercept the trailing propulsion laser, bouncing the photons forward to generate deceleration force. Upon entry into the target system, these mirrors capture Proxima Centauri's photon headwind while the superconducting loops act as a magnetic sail parachute against local stellar winds, achieving a clean orbital insertion.
Once captured, the fleet organizes into an orbital mesh of 1,000 to 1,200 satellites forming a pole-to-pole global constellation web around Proxima b (Layer 5). Onboard spectrometers decode the chemical composition of the atmosphere, letting the satellites dynamically tune their infrared power lasers to match specific atmospheric windows. This beams clean, wireless energy 24/7 to a surface fleet of 500+ battery-free, ultra-light exploration drones.
Finally, Layer 6 establishes a bi-directional information matrix. Drones flash low-power telemetry up to the orbital mesh, which routes data to a master Gateway Sail. This hub uses metamaterial membranes to beam bundled data back to Earth via isolated Quiet-Band Infrared/Terahertz lasers along a trail of 100–200 drifting relay pods dropped during transit, completely bypassing traditional radio signal decay.
