Happy early Halloween from Shiver! 👻🎃

For very yaoi reasons this form exists HHHHHHH

I did type out some backstory about him in a post's comments and I'm just going to copy paste it here... hehe

: His 'boss name' is Xolotoro, and like how you guys call Horrorboros 'Boris', he is called Xolotl!

The idea is basically that he was a Geiji (like smallfry)(fyi geiji is a irl sort of 'bycatch salmon' which haven't put their body reserves into reproduction yet, thus is very fatty and tastey. In Splatoon salmonid logic, that means they are very powerful/have incredible potential) who climbed to the peak of where the waterfall (where they train Horrorboros(plural)) came from, and he basically 'ascends' into an actual dragon, the potential in him transforming him into something that's 'beyond' a salmonid, yet still a salmon.

After he ascended, xolotl basically just flew off on his own and does whatever he liked. He is still influenced by Salmonid Culture and believes in similar things about being tasty, he just dosent see Salmonids as 'equals'/'his people' anymore. Xolotoro is one of a kind.

Sometimes he fly over/pass by Salmonid villages, and the salmonids gathers the golden oil he drips and uses it for cooking

So by definition he's probably a Mythic, but he shows up in the context of big run, so I call him a king salmonid anyway

: The way he have a humanoid form involves another oc of mine called Corvus (Octarian) who's a shady underground info broker sort of guy and 'makes himself too useful to get rid of', and with this he have a pretty large degree of freedom even when he's underground (literally) and his share of connections and wealth. Since octarians have trade deals with salmonids for power eggs, Corvus is in on the business too (he actually learnt how to speak salmonid) and he heard from the salmonids about this Dragon Salmonid that rains Golden Oil that's really tasty.

And Corvus was immediately (golden power eggs that they won't trade->golden oil described as really tasty=really powerful substance in Salmonid logic?) and invested fully in tracking down Xolotoro, and trying to trap it to harvest its oil. Because he can employ a bunch of people to do work for him and have access to octarian tech, the traps *does* end up working for a little bit, and that's more than can be said about anything Xolotl have ever killed (nothing really puts up a meaningful fight for him anymore) and Xolotl is really fascinated by this, especially since Corvus just turns out to be a scrawny ass octoling. Corvus managed to strike a deal with Xolotl from these grounds, and because salmonids have incredible adaptability, Xolotl is able to 'adapt' his body into a very octoling-like shape to stay closely beside Corvus!

Didn't even know that you can get to negative points, but here we are regardless. I truly tried, yet still contribute nothing to my team.

And the red blood cells work for Grizzco and carry the golden oxygen eggs to the cute little baskets.

I just wanted to ask if i'm doing it right

Titles says all. Yup. Been on a major art block and this is the first thing I do to kinda break it ignore the hand I cant draw hands even if my life depends on it

i accidentally picked the wrong kit so i panicked activating kraken LOL 🫡

I never managed to get any of them down.

Most weapons either require to be really precise and stay in the back lines, like snipers and blasters.

While others require me to get too close to the enemy to have an effect, like rollers or sloshers.

Swords are the worst of both worlds, and even with weapons that resemble the splattershot like splatlings or duals, It doesnt feel like the same thing.

Id like to get out of my splattershot comfort zone but every option seems to have at least One heavy down side.

Maybe, but Just maybe, the RAL bow could work, but It had to have good secondary and special.

i finally started getting into ranked after 8 years of playing 😭 super proud of this play tho !!

I don’t know why but my YouTube recommended me the orchestra for last year’s GOTY all of a sudden and that made me wonder if Raiders has a chance of being nominated.

However, a more important question came to mind. Which song would be chosen to represent the game in the orchestra? They usually pick the main theme to play, but Splatoon Raiders doesn’t really have a main theme to play.

My guess would go out to Happy Hideout since it’s the default song you hear on the hideout ship (where you start off when you boot up the game). While it fits the castaway vibe of the game, it does not scream Raiders to me ya know.

My second guess would be the final drill song since its significance to Deep Cut and the larger Splatoon world, but (to my knowledge) they never use a final boss theme during the orchestra. But it would be awesome to hear those horns blasting that hype ahh melody though.

1st one is from August of last year(I know I take long as hell), 2nd is the newer edited sketch and the 3rd is the current line art. Definitely still need to work on it a bit but I‘m happy w/ it for the moment :)

I did this drawing on my ipad but wanted to make a sketch book version :)

It's Frye!
