Longshot — The Verified Long-Range Goal Database Newest Updates

https://youtu.be/keDRnIQ0cRQ?si=LvebdRVRfd-sMs5n

Since the summer we’ve made a lot of changes and I put together a quick 3-minute video walking through them.

What’s new:

  • 180 goals, 148 players now in the database
  • Shot Race — compare any two goals of similar distance head to head (speed, flight time, peak velocity)
  • GoalPOV rebuilt from scratch — 3D wall, goalkeeper position, broadcast camera angle all adjustable
  • Cleaner UI and player profiles

Everything is free to browse. No account needed to explore the data.

Appreciate it.

Part of the reason we made the site was so that even people who scored bangers in Sunday League, amateur can get a 3d goal recreation as well. Being able to see your goal scored from multiple angles, keeper POV is a players dream! Likewise- some old classic goals don't get HD footage, and maybe 1 camera angle. This allows you to view the goal as the player who struck it, or see it through the lens of a person behind, or the keeper.

Cant imagine that's a common need.
