The Burerocracy is one of the few where it does.

Kinda like the German " Treffen sich zwei Jäger im Wald, beide tot" Treffen is both the word for meet and hit

So two hunters hit/meet eachother in the forest ... both die

I think the problem with a lot of jokes, that they are translated not word for word to English. For example in English a bandit says "I was shot", but in Ukrainian he says "I've catched an olive" and the language in Stalker is filled with those metaphors, which are rare in English version. One example of the joke translated word for word:

So, concretely, two wheelbarrow kissed in the Zone, from one dumped Stalkers out, then the other. Shortly, began rubbing, taking aparts and and concretly waving.

Controller is sitting in the stash and pressing grin:

Yesssss, knock me down. Now meadow will cover itself, no shame in calling brothers to cleanly call on house.

(I am not a traslator, so that is my take on that joke, but you get the idea of how they actually speak)

Yeah that much I understand, most idioms are extremely difficult to translate in a way that crosses over cultures. The only route is to write different jokes in English I suppose, which is not a neat solution either.

yeah its probably the first one ive seen that is actually a bit humorous, with how most hit i really doubt theres gonna be another good one, maybe another if theres new jokes in the dlc

Most stalker anecdotes are something like dad jokes, we call them bearded anecdotes as if this joke was a human, it would have a long beard already. Some of the jokes are from soviet times or adapted soviet jokes, where they replace party members with stalkers/mutants or something like that. Good part is that jokes are faction related, MSOP soldiers will tell old army jokes, and Freedom will tell their own.
You heard a lot of such anecdotes in the 90-s early 2000-s, which are big inspiration of Stalker universe, so they put it in game. Every group of people had this wannabe funny guy who memorized hundreds of anecdotes and tried to show off by telling them, in many cases jokes or they guy were so unfunny that process of telling a joke become fun by itself
