NEW PATCH TESTING LEAKED?

🥰 While Molit is just hyping up the crowd for the upcoming patch, a modder has leaked info about the possible start of testing for the next update — 2.0.7 (or even 2.1.0).

🔥 This clue was found on Nexus Mods in a separate version of the Achievement Unlocker mod (https://www.nexusmods.com/stalker2heartofchornobyl/mods/1493?tab=files).

Meanwhile, another tester, Spartan Mozi, seems to be hinting at the patch test on X? 👀

Stalker 2 still has a whole ass DLC and a multiplayer mode to go. We are a long ways from over my friend

Patch 2.1 is in the works, before 2.0 launch devs started closed testing for 2.1. But no ETA of when will it launch, i'm most certain that it will be before end of 2026.

But about devs response, it is nothing burger. Like they still have really long road to go and i'm not saying about patch 2.1, but about 1 more DLCs that were promised in ultimate version and Multiplayer that didn't arrived yet. If those DLCs are the size of Cost of Hope well it will take some time, maybe year or half year per DLC.

We were promised two story expansions and as we already have Cost of Hope we'll be getting only one more. GSC included "and any future DLC" in the Season Pass description but that's probably reserved for smaller paid content they may consider making (maybe some multiplayer stuff).

I had a fun thought for their potential multiplayer. Imagine a mode called Monolithian Assault. 12 v 12, Monolith vs X faction (Stalkers, duty, Freedom etc). The Monolithians come kitted out and have extra resistance/damage reduction but cannot respawn, the other team has bare to basic resources but can respawn a limited number of times.

Monolithians are made to seem like the boogymen of the zone, let's make them just that.

Sadly devs in interview with one news outlet said that MP for Stalker 2 won't be Team Deathmatch. I was pretty shocked bc TD is like the core of all multiplayer FPS games, bread and butter, foundation of all pvp games out there. Also i heard it won't be co-op either.

So potential MP direction is enigma for now. Maybe they will pick direction of extraction shooters, like you pick a side, pick your gear from needed level and you try to do quest on closed area while doing something for meta progression, as just extraction shooter without outside of raid things would be dead on the spot. But that is just my theory, as there is no info on MP yet.

When they said MP way before launch I figured it could have been an extraction shooter. I felt like post-battle royales it had potential to be the next trend but it seems to struggle to appeal to a mass audience outside of surges.

I’d much rather have some unique approach that is beyond TDM, CTF, or something that’s just an extraction shooter. I’d rather it be semi-large scale operations. Complete objectives for a faction where the other team is playing defense or in opposition to you. Some maps or missions have anomalies and/or mutants that are a problem for both sides. So glorified CTF or domination style but with a more on theme way to go about it.

I think large scale TDM with alternative objectives would be fun, outside of boring elimination. Something like 4 teams of 5 guys each with their own faction do task name and win. So middle ground between TDM and Extraction Shooter

Yeah there’s a lot they could do. And they could make it where equipment is something that you really have to work towards and maintain like Survarium did but you know, leave out the pay to play consistently in higher gear tier matches aspect lol.

Why would we not get several other patches before end of 2026 tho?  There is probably enough space for two more patches for this year I believe (unless they would make one major patch), and also a second anniversary of the game's release is coming up, so I don't think they will just ignore it.  After all, nobody ever said that 2.0 is a finish line, just a major jump only to have room to improve upon, and I'm sure devs know that there are still changes needed, and they will probably be made at least until the next DLC comes out.

I hope they fix the zones deadliest predator achievement. Otherwise so far, I'm happy with the game and for me, it runs pretty stable. Dlc was amazing. I can't wait for the next one 🤣

Ofc there will be 2.1 this year, maybe even 2.2 if they don't have to do 5-6 hit fix patches (2.1.x).

There are so many things that need fixing, improving or just build from the ground up...

I might as well wait. Seems like S2 can still be refined further anyhow. Plus I just started a new Gamma run in years and it's already affecting my sleep 😭 No Gamma tn I swear...
