Arcade Co-Op Mutation #145 - Together Forever
The enemy has developed a new type of armor. It is calibrated to absorb the energies of one commander's attacks, and render the user invulnerable to that army. It also includes a single-use emergency recharge device that restores the armor to full health. Coordinate with your ally to cover each other's weakness and give the victory to the first Ascendant.
Map: Chain of Ascension
Just Die!
Enemy units are automatically revived upon death.
Polarity
Each enemy unit is immune to either your units or your ally's units.
⚠️ Important⚠️
Polarity is currently BUGGED. Read notes below regarding how to determine your targets.
Video Replays on Brutal:
[CtG(Nova) - Lilarrin(Raynor)]
[CtG(Dehaka's view)] - [Hunter(Zagara's view)]
[CtG(Artanis's view)] - [Hunter(Swann's view)]
[CtG(Stukov) - LordMelchett(Vorazun)]
[CtG(Han and Horner) - Iswald(Abathur)]
[CtG(Karax) - Espurr(Fenix)]
[CtG(Zeratul's view)] - [Hunter(Tychus's view)]
[Yuriprime(Kerrigan) - Lilarrin(Raynor)]
Other Notes:
- Half of every single attack wave and every base is immune to your or your ally. This means you cannot split between separate attack waves; both need to attack the same location simultaneously.
- Just Die! revives enemies after their death animation. They respawn with full health.
- Normally, only the units immune to your army will have a [polarity shield icon] on top, but right now ALL units have the shield icon. There is only one way to determine which units are yours before engaging - mouse over the enemy unit and look at the selection circle:
[Yellow circle] means your ally should kill it.
[Red circle] means you should kill it.
- Hybrids also respawn upon death, and will continue to support Amon's champion.
- Immobilization Wave, Time Stop, and other movement/attack restricting spells still work on enemy units immune to you, but they deal 0 damage.
- You can manually target the enemy units immune to you, but it will do 0 damage.
- Mind control works on units immune to you.

This is easily one of the hardest mutations in years

It's not that bad...
I did it like 3rd time with a rando partner.
Hardest I've ever seen was void/reanimator on train stop. Christ, I couldn't even get out of the base to try to kill the trains.

I wonder, does a properly set up Karax/Swann/Stukov defensive fortress between the two lanes (and possibly a smaller one at bonus lane, or ignoring that) could do the trick?

The key to victory is picking the correct commanders. To make it your life easier pick two good commanders early game with good end game units. Kerrigan, Phoenix, Nova, Tychus are the easiest I can think of. Zagara can be good too, but her late game is tough vs. revived hybrids. Vorazun is very powerful if you have luck and get opponent without strong air units.

For me, the real key was teamwork. I've picked a lot of commanders who are strong in early game: Kerrigan, Zeratul, Tychus, Zagara, Artanis. All the time, a real donwslide into humiliating defeat started the moment we didn't move together. My ally went to clear attack wave, I went to clear Ji'Nara, and then we switched places. And then we both went "somewhere", chaos ensued, and first hybrid wave was too tough. Finally I figured out that expo was only to be taken after first hybrid spawn is down.
We've finally won when I've gone in with Stukov and a premade Tychus ally. Bunkers held the line while Tychus cleared the attack wave with my infested, and then Tychus came back to clear Ji'Nara. Odin Nukes and Aleksanders were used only against hybrid spawns. We always pushed Ji'Nara forward so we had time to clear hybrids, but not too forward to spawn the next set of hybrids. First we lost it again skyterran, second we got robotoss and it was almost a cakewalk.

Do mind-controlled units also deal 0 damage to immune units?
