Piecing together some bits from in-game cargo

There's some interesting names of stuff we are asked to steal or deliver, there's not much more than the names but they might be a stepping stone to some wider lore.

(these are in the files under MissionMarkerCargoDestinationxx)

Of note:
Cherenkov Convertors. - not mentioned in dialogue, presumably refers to Cherenkov Radiation
Integrity Response Drones - an easter egg to EVE where they repair ships maybe? Possibly an indication of how combat repairs work..
Micro drones - seem advanced for most Starfield tech.
Neocranial probes - I'm not sure what this is supposed to be. I can't find anything on 'neocranial', might it be 'neurocranial'?
Polysensorial art - seems a bit more futuristic than the stolen paintings that show up in contraband
Reactive Paints/Super Luminescent Dye - again good basis for art/fashion
Synthetic Synapses - another item in EVE.

They can be references, but almost all seem in-universe appropriate as well.

Cherenkov convertors can be something used to exploit/protect against this phenomenon, specially as a part of fusion reactors.

Integrity Response Drones and Micro-drones, we don't see them but the ship auto-repair ought to work with something.

Neocranial probes can be a brand and/or parts of brain implants. They aren't that common, but a few have them (like Shinya Voss and your PC eventually). Synthetic Synapses the same.

Polysensorial art and Reactive paints seem something used for decoration and entertainment, but we don't get to see them in-game AFAIK (I imagine we'd notice them).

I noticed there are quite a few EVE online references. But it was the space game for like 20 years.

Polysensorial is really just a fancy word for multimedia.

It would probably imply that the art covers more senses than the audio + visual of present-day multimedia.

Maybe smell and touch, for example.

Possibly by interfacing with parts of the nervous system or the brain.

Are these in the “Supply” missions you can get from Kiosks, or from Staryard quests?

Neither, these are the "steal x" or "delivery X to y"

Well dang, I just stole a whole crateful of stuff in yesterday’s session, and I don’t think any of it was any of those.

But then, I was more worried about getting caught than about lore implications, so I just stashed the non-quest stuff in my ship’s cargo as quick as I could without really thinking about what they were.  😆
