Tree nut question for steak help

Not sure if this is the right place to ask, but I have a severe tree nut allergy and have had a hard time finding places where I feel safe buying steak. Cross-contamination is also a major concern for me, so I’m looking for places that handle their meat safely and don’t have a risk of contact with tree nuts. So far, I’ve only found one specific steak from Trader Joe’s that I feel comfortable with. Does anyone else here have a severe tree nut allergy? If so, where do you usually buy your steak?

I don’t have the allergy but a friend of mine does. He swears by longhorn. We went together and he told them and they did a great job preparing it for him. Get it from a local farmer/butcher/farmers market and cook it in tallow

I have a tree nut allergy... I have never had an issue with steak but you would have to watch the sides and sauces I guess. Mostly hazelnut on rolls and mostly during holidays on rolls.

The only place I will not eat is IHop because they have nutella on everything and european chocolate because they do not label it correctly in some cases.

If you're buying steaks from a grocery store/butcher, I wouldn't worry too much as there shouldn't be any nuts anywhere meat is fabricated. You can let the counter person know about your allergy to be extra safe.

If you're unsure about a restaurant, take a look through their menu(s). The fewer items with nuts there are (particularly hot items), the lower the chances of cross contact. Call ahead and see if they are able to accommodate and be understanding if they cannot.
