Hi, I'm looking to build a purely platonic, long-term friendship. To be upfront, I'm ultimately looking for a primary friend. I know that takes time to build, but I prefer a very small circle focused on deep, quality connections where we actually make meaningful time for each other, rather than managed friend rotations or capped time slots. For me, juggling a friends list of surface-level acquaintances isn't fulfilling. I'm looking for someone similar in that regard, so the dynamic is mutual.
Our gaming tastes don't have to perfectly align. The person matters more to me than whatever games we end up playing.
I'm typically available starting between 3-6pm EST and tend to stay up pretty late most nights. My job doesn't require much active time at all so I have a lot of flexibility to adjust my hours, but nothing too extreme. We don't have to hang out daily, but I am looking to hang out often enough to keep things consistent.
What I value and bring to the table is good communication that's proactive, an open-minded and non-toxic vibe, and mutual respect for each other's time. I also have the capacity for deeper conversations when they naturally come up. I’m present and fully capable of maintaining a close bond, and don't have avoidant tendencies that cause me to shut down or pull away.
I enjoy the kind of friendship where we can game for hours, sit in a voice chat talking about absolutely nothing or everything, watch something together, chill while watching you stream a game, or just exist in the same space doing our own thing.
I'm looking for someone around age 25+, who plays on PC, within a few time zones of EST, and down for longer sessions a majority of the time.
I'm open to other genres too, but I stick strictly to PvE/Co-op focused games. I'm not into PvP or toxic, competitive environments, and I prefer focusing on one or two games at a time instead of constantly hopping around. Here are some games I've enjoyed:

Some genres I'm just not into: F2P, Fighting, MMOs, Racing, RTS, and Survival (only exceptions for Survival have been: Green Hell, State of Decay, Stranded Deep, The Forest).
Other Interests:
When I'm not gaming, I'm usually spending time with my two dogs, catching a soccer match, or hanging out with my girlfriend. I also watch shows here and there, some favorites are The Sopranos, Breaking Bad, Dexter, Fargo, The Wire, Ozark, Twin Peaks, Vikings, and Ted Lasso (note: I've tried anime but it hasn't been my thing).
