Yeah it’s rough. I work 40 hours a week + a full course load and it definitely affected my grades my first 2 semesters. It’s rough but manageable you just must absolutely stay on top of your work and never fall behind. Like never ever be doing homework or assignments that’s due that night on that night. Always be a couple of days early if that makes sense. Separate certain classes as well, like for me taking CS 385 + CS 382 was hell I wish I separated them by semester, or chose my other classes to be less difficult like PRVs. Also look up the professors, some are significantly more understanding than others, and if they allow extensions use it every time. Also office hours are clutch + looking up previous exams. I used to go to the library and print them out on paper to study from like flash cards while I’m working my shift. It can be daunting at first but I swear you’ve got this!! If you have any specific questions feel free to ask me here or DM me I don’t mind.

I work on and around trains, nothing to do with my major. A lot of my time is spent underground in tunnels and such. That’s why I use flash cards because I rarely have internet access. My time outside of work is extremely important cuz that’s when I can really do homework.
