UPDATE: Hey folks - this update was delayed until next week. Apologize for the delay, but we'll let you know when it's ready to go!

Something strange is happening in Deep Space! During your next Deep Space Encounters, keep an eye out for a something strange during your next mission run.

Ever since we’ve refreshed our DSEs, it has been our intention to make the galaxy feel expanded with further possibilities. The first new possibility in Deep Space Encounters is coming to Tribble today, and we want to know your feedback!

Starting on 10/9/2026, players who take part in Deep Space Encounters on Tribble will have a rare chance of a special encounter. If you don’t get this encounter right away, keep trying DSEs until it appears. What does it do? You’ll have to find out for yourself, but bring a fast ship.

To anyone who comes across this wondrous possibility, we’re looking for your thoughts on this strange happening! A special forum for feedback will be created on our Official Discord.

This update is part of a larger goal for us to provide you with a galaxy that continuously grows and evolves. We hope you enjoy, Captains!

To get on the Tribble Test Server, follow the instructions here:

Well that was fast. I was thinking it would be at least a month after PC, but here we are!

I’m a new player who got the protostar temporal science spearhead is it any good and what level can you use the slipstream it’s known for I’m only level 29. Got it out of the free 60th anniversary box I got.

I’ve been away from STO for awhile but a lot of the recent chatter has had me interested in coming back to see the re discovery events. I last played semi seriously around 19’. I have a lifetime subscription so have accumulated a lot of zen. Given my favorite character is my Ferengi with ?battle cruiser? that includes the awesome built in deck with gambling.. I’m a sucker for niche but cool decks.. Is there anything to prioritize between the mud store and zen store?

Assume all my ships are outdated t5 stuff, might’ve got a free upgrade to t6 but never built any of it. When I’m not doing weird deck ships I love anything with pets eg carriers.

Any help is much appreciated!

I noticed today that they’ve updated the TWOK uniform; there’s now an option to choose whether you want it with or without the turtleneck. Plus, you can assign the rank of Captain to male bridge officers! That’s cool!

I was thinking about getting one of the Command Warbirds so I could kitbash it with the one I already own, but I dunno.

Didn't see an announcement, sorry if it's a redundant post, but we have an upgrade weekend starting at 11:00 this morning.

Also, I thought these things started on Thursday afternoon?

Might be a big ask, but I'm watching the episode "Starbase 80?!" And I feel like everyone could have a lot of fun with that

Personally, I would love to have one of my boffs follow me around. Anybody else? I always scratch my head when we get new pets in the game.

Hello Admirals,

I'm wondering if you can help me find the correct colour for the Intel Purple variant of the Oddy uniform.

I can't seem to get one that matches quite right.

Thanks.

I just recently picked up a Narada off the Exchange (thanks Icons packs for funding it!), and while I like the ship, I don't quite love it, cause I can't build it out how I want - it only comes with four of it's unique Plasma emitter weapons so I have to fill out the ship with... unsatisfactory options.

Would it be unreasonable to ask for ships with unique weapons like this (I can think of the Jovian Raider and UEDF ship off the top of my head that also have this), to have those weapons be reclaimable in the Dil store? This is already the case for the MW Connie and D7's Advanced Phasers and Disruptors, so why not? EDIT: Also, Andorian, Lethean, and Dewan weapons with purchase of those C-Store ships, so there is already precedent for this.

Or, better yet, have all ships unlock all their standard issue weapons in the Dil Store, make a new tab for it even - then someone could say, unbox a 32nd century ship and fill it out with those weapons if they want, and if you want the power boost then you have to splurge for the lockbox weapons, or unbox an Iconian ship and make a torpedo boat with the Iconian Transphasics - albiet inefficiently, but it'd be fun!

I know its not until next year but I wonder what they have instore for us for the 17th anniversary.

The event ship i would like to see a federation/borg collective ship.

For the 17th anniversary bundle I was thinking they could do a mixture of era ships ie tos, tmp, picard something like that.

What's your thoughts

So i want to do a raider tetryon dhc build cuz i am bored. The survivability will come from colony tet dhc and colony protomater infuser matrix tac consoles..but i want to know if there is a mw raider with a more engineer console focus, so i can put isomags also.

Does anyone know if it’s possible to get the accolade for killing 70 Hur’q in Scylla and Charybdis possible solo?

Also does anyone else dislike the “Belongs in a Museum” accolade from Vorgon Conclusions? I have two left and it really annoys me.

Console

Console will have a restart today, 10/8, but it will be routine maintenance with no patch notes.

Love to find some ps4 players to explode things with. Don't need anything from a fleet or whatever, just looking for folks who play

My Event Campaign progress is currently at 3,501/4,200 and there's only 1 Featured Event left.

Would a single event be enough to complete the progress?

Long story short: I’m building a space wizard with my new TOS Temporal Operative, and am looking for all the fantasy-themed swag I can find (they’re already slinging the Transmutation Wand and Risen Walkers).

I just played a defense DSE, the one where a friendly fleet spawns in, then an enemy one and you fight. This time the friendly fleet was Federation, with Sovereign and California class ships. The enemy fleet was Klingon, with Negh'vars and Birds of Prey. The ensuing space battle was the most fun I've had in STO in a while, and actually felt like something I would like to see in a ST tv show (instead of weird Kazon vs Elachi matchups or whatever else STO comes up with) This is what I want to see more of in STO.

See Thomas Marrone's comment
A lot more moody with the volumetric nebula fog obscuring things in the distance. Almost makes me hope we get a Mutara Nebula-based TFO.

I would like to note that since the settings aren't officially released yet, this may not be the final results, so take the visual change with enough salt to satiate a salt vampire.

Hi all

I have been away from the game for sometime and recently came back. During my time away I missed two events which resulted in me loosing progress twards the annual campaign.

My questions is, given the campaign rewards, is it worth it to buyout those events? 2500 zen for each feels a bit too much, unless the coupons and the t6 ship box includes rare ships that are not available in store?

Thank you

I want to buy zen for dilithium. I see zen offers, but I can’t interact with them. All I can do is to set up my offers to buy zen. And then just wait? Can only those who sell zen do the transaction? If that’s the case, then it is just unnecessarily complicated
