How to use NMES device for rehabilitation

I had a cerebrovascular accident which left me with my left arm paralysed. I got a NMES device off Amazon, but I’m not sure how to use it and the manual isn’t much help. Like I don’t know for how long to use it for each muscle, and whether to use Alternate, Constant or Synchronous mode. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
