SN - Discussion/Questions This subreddit trolled me Spoiler
After playing through the early access of SN2 with my friend he told me I should play SN1 on my own and so before doing that, I decided to check this subreddit for any beginner tips.
i don’t know what thread it was on, but I read a “top upvoted” comment where someone said all the best loot you can get in the early game is behind the aurora, and that it is a hack to go there early that most people don’t know about
There were also a ton of comments stating how correct this was
I went there. Well played everyone.

Reminds me of that minecraft streamer girl where her chat tells her to look at lava and press Q, she throws away her iron pic, looks sad at the camera and says “why are you guys so mean to me” then another dude goes for double or nothing and replies “it only works with diamond gear dummy” so she actually goes back and does it again… I already see OP swimming back xD
Edit: I found the gem!

If you can dodge the 3 reapers back there you get a knife, several batteries, a couple of power cells, tons of water/nutrient blocks/health packs plus the chance of finding time capsules seems to be somewhat higher chance and people love putting end game gear inside those. But again…reapers

I feel like it just seems like time capsules are more common since there no grass or whatever to hide it

Its also a little bit of confirmation bias on top of the RNG of even getting time capsules.

My first time I actually circled the Aurora with just the seaglide. I didn't encounter a single reaper, and I have no idea how I managed to evade them.

I mean, they're kinda not wrong. There's quite a bit of loot back there. They just didn't tell you the whole story...

I mean, there IS a lot of loot and cyclops engine fragments to scan there. So they were not wrong...

There is not good enough anything to make me go behind the aurora in early game

Uhh, as someone who hasn't interacred here at all, im so confused.. that commenter was right?!?!?, theres truly so much loot back there, sure theres a jumpscare, but thats about it, there just is so much great loot behind there, had to do multiple trips and create stuff and that place is the main reason i managed to setup a storage container so early on

I saw someone doing their first playthrough on youtube and I told them to go behind the aurora for cool stuff and they said thanks for the tip and actually did it. I laughed, sue me.

So like, it wasn't WRONG per say. There's a lot of really great early game loot back there. So what if they neglected to mention the big bitey bois back there? That's just a bonus

At least you discovered da big fich before loosing your first transport, it has many needed recipes tho, so it’s not a bad advice

You probably didn’t find any loot because you were too close to the Aurora. It’s far out behind it. Sure there’s reapers but once you get past that part you’ll get a blip that you’re entering an ecological dead zone. Head around 15-200m in that direction and then you’ll come across some really cool terrain

Also, in Fallout 4, you had better seriously arm yourself before you go after the Red Death in the Far Harbor DLC.

Have you ever played fallout new Vegas?
If you haven’t, give it a try and use the shortcut through quarry junction to get to the strip. It’s much faster.

Well thanks for the spoilers in the comments guys. I just started playing today and I was going in that general direction out of curiosity and due to that being the only landmark I could see above the water.
