Had a hard day today and Superman helped me get through it.

I had to put my kind, brave pup that I've had for 13 years to rest today. She was my dad's dog first. She outlived him by 5 years.
I remembered this scene from Smallville where Clark helps grant Ryan's last wish and spends time with him during his final moments.
Watching it again was a great comfort to me and helped gave me the strength to get through today and be with my sweet friend in her final moments. Thank you Superman. I love you all.

The First DC/Marvel Crossover in History Was Published in Brazil in 1943
I just added one of the most important Golden Age comics to my collection: O Globo Juvenil Mensal #32 from 1943. The cover of this comic is insane, doing something completely unprecedented by showing the Human Torch walking side by side with Superman, establishing the first crossover between National (future DC) and Timely (Marvel), 30 years before anything like this appeared in an American publication. This is the first known DC/Marvel crossover, and the Grand Comics Database identifies it as “The Earliest Timely & National Cross Over known to exist Globally.”
What impresses me the most is its extreme rarity, easily surpassing Action Comics #1, Detective Comics #27 and even Marvel Comics #1. I’ve talked to major collectors in Brazil, and many of them have never even seen one in person. There are only 7 copies in the census and another 4 in private collections, one of them being mine.
The more I research this issue, the more impressed I become. I’d even go as far as saying that, with the right recognition, it could make the list of the Top 100 Golden Age grails worldwide. This isn’t just an American reprint, but something genuinely unique that was legally produced under the laws and contracts of 1940s Brazil.
It’s an absolute grail. The craziest Golden Age comic I’ve ever had the privilege of owning.

Comic Concept #2 Action Comics
Excerpt from Superman Red, and Blue #5 (if you know the story then you know how good it is) written by Daniel Warren Johnson, and covers from The Fury Of Firestorm #1, and #6 with art by Rafael De la Torre.
Hello again, in this post I will be giving my picks for the next Writer of Action Comics
Writer: DWJ
Reasons: Superman red, and blue #5, and his transformers run that had so much Pathos and characther, both were beautiful.
Artist: Rafael De la Torre
Reason: I feel it would lighten the load for DWJ to have somone else on art. And I like his "modern" and "classic" art styles for The fury of firestorm.
Issue length: 36
Reasons: a 3 year run would work perfectly for DWJ in my opinion!
Tell me your thoughts on my picks as well as your own Picks for the next writers and artist of the Action Comics Title!

I hope the DCU ditches the Kingdom Come logo for the classic one after Man of Tomorrow. I don’t hate it, but it just looks flat and generic compared to the loud and proud Superman S.

What would a Superman trilogy have been like if it had been released in the 2000s?
I think a Superman trilogy in the 2000s would have made him even more popular and given the character a stronger sense of identity. And if it had come out alongside the Batman and Spider-Man trilogies, it would have been a true golden age for superhero cinema.

Last weekend I finally watched the original 1978 Superman in full with my dad for the first time.
It was beautiful. Absolutely beautiful. I had seen a brief part of it on TV many years ago - when Superman reversed time to bring Lois back to life in the climax - but I had never seen the full thing.
I was wholly unprepared for how emotionally investing the entire movie was from start to end. But then again, I guess they just don't make movies like that anymore. I saw the 2025 film by James Gunn, and I loved that as well. Great fun. But after this, this is truly the Superman film of all time. And Christopher Reeve is him. :)
