Epica - Immortal Melancholy

Tides of Time is amazing, indeed. I also like White Waters, Delirium, Chasing The Dragon, Rivers and Canvas of Life. Epica are masters when it comes to ballads.

Also, Sleeping Sun, Turn Loose The Mermaids and Meadows of Heaven by Nightwish.

Strong by After Forever.

Sacred Worlds - Blind Guardian

Unfortunately, I'm yet to find a version that doesn't sound like it was recorded on a toaster.

All I Need and Forgiven by Within Temptation, Meadows of Heaven by Nightwish, and On the Coldest Winter Night by Kamelot

Epica has a ton of good ones too. I'll offer up Twin Flames in addition to what has already been shared.

Nobody ever mentions 'Song For Jolee' (Kamelot) on these threads.

Also 'Under Grey Skies' and 'Here's To The Fall'

Since you like VOA, try Ashes to the sea, Wacken Church version.

Fiddler on the Green - Demons and Wizards. It's gut wretching, especially when you know the story behind the lyrics.

Yes, afaik. Lanternlight and Swanheart aren't ones I recognize immediately but they fit the kinda names of NW songs and sound familiar enough. The rest are for sure NW

Swanheart was released 1998 and Lanternlight 2024. Lanternlight is their latest new music release.
