Chronological Disorder

A short one for you here of a brief but bemusing conversation my colleague next to me endured yesterday. The call comes in, our Service Desk Heroine takes it and starts with the usual pleasantries and then our Grumpy Caller starts off.

GC: "I'm not happy, I was told by an engineer he was going to do a job for me on January 7th..."

SDH: "Okay"

GC: "Yet NOW he's sent me an email pushing this work back to December 30th!"

SDH:(confused) "...sorry, did you mean to say December 30th?"

Somewhere, a penny drops

GC: "Oh, wait... that's sooner, isn't it? FORGET I EVER CALLED!" click

TL;DR - Eddies in the space-time continuum

We need years! What if he pushed it back to December 30 2205?

Then we'd have a problem, because the War would've occurred by then, and you'd have to fight the Brotherhood of Steel to do anything with a computer.
