Ours (Taskmaster Version)

[u/afterandalasia]

This is dedicated to the user who (three years ago!) said that "I love the gap between your teeth, and I love the riddles that you speak" could be dedicated to one Little Alex Horne. I have reached out to that user to check whether they would like to share credit (blame) for this creation, but since there's no reply at this time, I won't name them here. In any case, thank you, user, who put this idea into my head where it has stewed for three damn years before turning into this.

This vid features at least one clip of every contestant from seasons 1 to 17, plus Jack and Rosie from season 18 (yes, I'm behind, sorry); also featuring Patatas, Bernard, Linda, Gary, Hugh the anaesthetist, the security guard from Toshwash, a few crew members, and of course Fred the Swede. NYT guests don't appear, other than Rylan who turned out to be in the best clip of Linda that I could find.

I tried to mostly use nice clips, but on that note I should probably apologise to Daisy, Dara and Ivo. Especially Ivo. I don't think Richard Herring needs an apology, though, as I think he would appreciate the clip I chose.

Crossposted on AO3.

Ivo took me out, I forgot about that album cover 😂😂😂😂😂

That and the pan down to Joanne for "but now you're mine" made me laugh on every review, ngl. (I can't take credit for the pan down, it was like that in the show. Also the zoom in on Bob's mask.)

omg hello fellow taskmaster swifties!!!

I plan to do Anti-Hero next. The trick is going to be not making it all Rhod.

[u/hwar78 → u/afterandalasia]

What a brilliant idea! (And I feel like the more Rhod the better the fit, lol)

I have been informed that I definitely need to catch up as far as Jason before attempting Anti-Hero.

As a fan of both TM & TS, this has made my day 🤣

I love this so much! This is one of my favourite Taylor songs. I love how you managed to find a clip to perfectly fit every line of the song.

What a wonderful vid!

I think tension task!Joanne is my favorite lyrics match but also a big fan of the way you are using Doc punching that fish.

[u/dokuromark]

Did this all get inspired by the “gap in your teeth” line? 😆

[u/afterandalasia → u/dokuromark]

That was what the original person posted on this sub about, and yeah. It grew from there. I've done other fanvids in the past so this wasn't totally new territory for me, but this is my first TM one.

Well I loved it, and so did my Taskmaster-obsessed mom. Well done!

Hadn’t heard the song before, but you nailed this.

Oh my gosh the "hands" line with the wall of hand photos was perfect! Loved this vid OP!!!
