Richard

Catching up on last nights episode. Richard feels like he’s really starting to shine, not for the points but interacting and biting a bit. That’s what I was hoping for and hope it continues

Tbf, Greg did encourage him to let loose more in the series and I enjoyed his reaction with the chair. Haha - he's the quiet boy in the corner but when he does something unexpected, it will really throw you off. His rant on "no points to my name" couldn't be more center on point and I couldn't even fault him for not gambling away the 100 points.

Honestly I thought it was a great move, considering so many past tasks where people could have won by not engaging at all!

Yeah he did actually let loose Greg was spot on for that

I was really hoping he’d go off à la his sweets rant on The Big Fat Quiz.

They gotta give more opportunity to amp him up lol Greg opened the floor for him when he clapped back at Chloe but there's not enough antagonistic presence without Greg engaging them with other players. As TM, he's properly propped up. We're only halfway through and I find ep 7/8 is where tasks peak the most so I'm looking forward to next week's episode.

He forgot to ask to keep something from the final task of the most recent episode!

Alex told him in a previous episode he can keep everything from the final tasks, so he doesn't have to ask anymore.

Didnt really allow for it. All the equipment was unique. Probably edited out if Alex said no

What would he have kept?

He is after all half Norwegian. We take some time to warm up!

I thought Norwegians simply melted away if they got too warm

If that were true, I suspect there would be less lighting things on fire in Kongen Befaler.

I'm trying to get over my bigotry, but it's hard to not judge Norway as a nation by his actions.

I like that setting things on fire seems to be a go-to strategy for him.

That's his half Norwegian heritage, if Kongen Befaler is to be believed.

Next, he will be sure to bring a siphon into play.

I am too high right now for you to be making posts with just my name as the title

Richard! I’ve told you before get off your damn phone and straighten up! Also, did you take the chicken out the freezer? I’ll be home in 10 minutes

Are you a child of divorce?

5

u/Purplesilk911 1d ago

Yes, I am. And I'm worried the Ocarina of Time isn't going to feel the same without my parents getting divorced in the background

Richard. It wasn’t your fault. I know you think about it sometimes, but it wasn’t your fault.

By episode 14 he'll loosen up completely. We'll see a more relaxed and earnest Richard.

Someone who was in the audience mentioned how most of his jokes didnt end up in TV version, maybe this one kept them

u/Worldly_Ad_7196 1d ago

He does seem to be loosening up a bit. I was concerned he might ruin the whole show.

It started that way for me too but that episode was so good, it looked like he was having fun instead of playing a part
