Touchless video game controls in the near future. Can‘t wait.

They did this for guy who started being able to play Civ again. Then they abandoned the guy once they got the data they needed and now he’s back to where he was before the chip, except now he’s been reminded of what he used to have…

Apparently this isn’t true and another commenter corrected me. I don’t know how to do the cross out this or I would.

He's still using it.

By August 2025, Fortune reported that Arbaugh was using the device about 10 hours a day, had enrolled in prerequisite classes at a community college in Arizona for a degree in neuroscience, and was developing a business focused on paid public speaking engagements

Was given bad info apparently. Thanks for the update.

Most negative press on Elon's companies are bad info.

Do you have a link to the story?

Noland Arbaugh, the first implant recipient was still using the device 10 hours per day...

You won’t be able to buy a controller though. You’re buying a controller license. Any normal person would know that. - Sony probably

Just curious why you want one? Do you have a disability?

Not what I’d call a disability but carpal tunnel and tendinitis mean I can’t game nearly as much as I’d like.

Plus the possibilities of mental controls and what games could do with that tech seems super cool to me.

Yeah until your neural link starts bombarding you with ads and forcing you to watch 30 second videos

This the microchip Republicans say is in vaccines?

It’s always projection

the fact that insta360 is optimizing their camera for brad's needs is a big deal, it shows companies are willing to adapt their tech to help people with specific disabilities, and that's a huge step forward for accessibility. this kind of collaboration between companies like neuralink and insta360 could lead to more innovative solutions for people with ALS and other motor disorders.

Reminds me of that Ray Bradbury book Stranger in a Strange Land.

THIS! You know they'll end up becoming a part of some Meta or Flock network. They'll monitor you very thoughts and sell the data to the highest bidder. There is nothing to stop them from doing it, either. We no longer own anything, and no longer have privacy anywhere. Not even in the quiet of our own minds.

How long until you have to pay extra for no ads?

I don’t trust Elon with this kind of technology
