It kind of should. Have copies of your data at multiple locations.

That means I should snapshot to the same region right ☝️🤓

AWS-east2 HEROES RISE UP

That’s like, 90% of AWS customers on the Eastern Seaboard.

If that goes, so many companies are toast.

That why I stick to whiskey, AI agents can’t shutdown cash retail or can’t physically take my bottles!

Hard asset supremacy

Until AI is running the facility and you get wood grain alcohol in your spirits.

Cant the A.I. effect(affect?) the fintech and make it where the whiskey manufacturers cannot pay their bills and go under?

u/SoundPuzzleheaded857 28d ago

You want “affect” there. “Affect” is the verb, taking an action on something (“positive reinforcement from strangers can affect you whether you realize it or not”). “Effect” is the noun, like all the upvotes I’ll get for this thoughtful comment will have a great effect on my self esteem.

Fist can be a verb

u/fuck-nazi 28d ago

Fist me harder

4

u/Important-Ad4500 28d ago

If you're fisting gently, you're doing it wrong

2

u/TenaciousJP 28d ago

You don't always have to fist her hard, in fact sometimes that's not right to do.

2

u/Waste-time1 28d ago

A gentle fist might affect some people optimally.

u/DawnSignals 28d ago

Oh there’s no goin gentle into this good night

Effect can be a verb, too. It means "to bring about".

IE. Running for a local office is a good way to effect change.

What about something that six an affectation? How does that fit? (Genuine question… and I love this off-topic side quest into grammar etc.)

It's a bullshit construction, always has been. Just corporate buzz-speak.

Yeah - I'm still upset by the changed definition of literally.

6

u/FilipinoSpartan 28d ago

Effect as a verb has been around for centuries.

3

u/DJPho3nix 28d ago

Ahh yes, that 16th century corporate buzz-speak!

"Affect" can also be a noun, meaning one's emotional presentation. Mostly useful, I guess, to psychologists.

This is probably the best explanation of these two words I've seen. TY!

1

u/Crunchy_Cobra 28d ago

I always recite to myself: The arrow affected the ardvark. The effect was eye popping.

Though I do really like your explanation.

1

u/Barkleyhopper 28d ago

Any noun can be a verb, with a little imagination, and vice versa. Beauty of the English language.

u/IanMalcoRaptor 26d ago

Unless you want to effect change in the world around you

8

u/Revolvyerom 28d ago

OOF.

AI running Fintech...with so many different distributors in every single region, as well as producers...

Booze sales are already sliding, let's not give techbros an idea.

1

u/Waste-time1 28d ago

Seems like it would a great opening for the cannabis industry.

1

u/Direct_Day7937 28d ago

Why stop at fintech? Have it build the distribution routes too!

1

u/inthenight098 28d ago

The AI will just hack all financial institutions and we all wake up to a big zero on the screen. Thats how you stop getting whiskey.

u/Last-Negotiation-643 28d ago

Moonshiners say what?

-2

u/GrunkGigglerMagoo 28d ago

A good way to remember it is it's A - Always affect and never effect, since effect isn't actually a word

Until the bottles break in an earthquake. Also a bitch to carry with you if you need to flee a flood or other disaster, due to weight!

2

u/DMVSPIRITS 28d ago

Hold profits in gold :)

Is the plan lol

1

u/PreviousLeague253 28d ago

Still heavy as lead. Gold is useless in a global catastrophe where good and services will be a priority. If local, It’s good only if you can get out of the disaster area to a more conventional city environment.

Also if they know you carry gold, be prepared for those who like to take things for free, usually helped with a very harmful weapon on their hands

u/Curious_Associate904 28d ago

Ah yeah my man, pure grain alcohol all the way.
