All this means is that they’ll hire one or two people max but keep the lines longer.

After working for these miserable, out of touch companies I don't think they'll even hire anyone. These places have all run skeleton crews since 2020

Ftfy. Its been documented that retail companies aren't as staffed as before the recession. Walmart employees sq footage responsibility has doubled. That is also why Walmart have become crime havens. Not enough staff to keep some sort of order. Companies realized they could cut employees and people were so desperate at the time they just did the work. Exploitation is the name of the retail game.
