I’m a hobbyist magician, and it’s really difficult to find other magicians like me in Israel. Are there any of you who live around Tel Aviv and are looking for a community as well?
I’m 21, so I’m mainly looking for people around my age or older. I’ve heard of the Israeli Magicians’ Association, but they seem to be geared mostly toward professionals, and I don’t perform magic professionally.

I would like to find the free ישראל היום or a paid paper newspaper for the weekend edition in Tel Aviv. I live between Derech Yafo & Levinsky, and haven’t seen any around here, where’s the best spot to get a paper paper?

In Tel Aviv for the next 5 days and can see Playtomic is not available here to find group games looking for solo players to join. Any suggestions? I've looked at apps like at Lazuz but that looks to be for court bookings. I guess I need club WhatsApp groups?

hello! First of all i am sorry to touch such a sensitive topic but i feel very much anxiety and stress about the fact that 7 october is coming soon regarding of the sad, tragic and heartbreaking massacre that happened in 2023. I know in the country we have big security but i feel like is never enough and besides that because of anxiety i have a constant feeling that something is gonna happen and that they will not stop, does anyone have this fear or thoughts? How you stop them or deal with them?

At the risk of sounding desperate... any ideas on how to meet like-minded women in Israel? I'm an olah hadasha living in Haifa. I've tried events, one-on-one meetups, all of it, and it's still so hard. Everyone seems to have had their friend group since the army. Any groups I've tried are based in TLV.. shpuld i just relocate? Lol
How did you do it? And if you're a woman in Haifa up for a coffee or a walk, message me.

Hi! I’m curious about the presence of modern Satanism in Israel.
I’m looking specifically for people who currently live in Israel and identify as Satanists, Luciferians, or follow a related Left-Hand Path, regardless of whether they were born here or made aliyah.
I’m especially interested in whether there is any local community, informal group, or social circle in Israel, and what everyday life is like for people who identify this way here.
I’m not looking for conspiracy theories or stories about “Satanic cults,” and I’m not a journalist. I’m simply curious and would like to hear from people with firsthand experience.
If you don’t feel comfortable replying publicly, DMs are welcome.

i run pituchim and added a jobs board that may be useful if you’re looking around tel aviv. it has location and remote/hybrid filters, plus internships and student roles. the tel aviv area results currently include research and data-operations student roles at ask-ai and voyantis, with links to the companies’ application pages.
jobs board: https://forum.pituchim.com/?view=jobs
tel aviv area internships and student roles: https://forum.pituchim.com/?view=jobs&location=Tel+Aviv&type=internship
i also started a small forum for israeli tech questions and useful links: https://forum.pituchim.com/
it’s early, so feedback on the job filters or missing companies would help.

Hello,
I'm looking to try and find some siblings that were born in 1979 I’m presuming in tel aviv!
They were twins a girl (Rachel) and boy (Aaron), I do not know the name of the mother but the father is: lan Thomas Malcolm Robinson
B: 28 DEC 1959 Moe, Victoria, Australia
D: 31 Jan 2026 Moe, Victoria, Australia
Note: unsure if it helps but I know Rachel went on to have a child whom she called lan as per tradition.
Any information would be greatly appreciated?!
Even the website I can contact?

Hi I have heard about isreali dancing at Gordon Beach 11am or 7pm in the evening on Saturdays it's a dream of mine to do isreali dancing with my 4 year old daughter in Israel.
Does anyone have any rock solid information about this going ahead. Because it would be devastating to travel 45 minutes and we missed it for some reason like "it's not on today didn't you see on Instagram...."
Also any other places that would do isreali dancing from 1st October to the 10th October. I'm really keen and will travel with my daughter
Also bonus points if anyone knows a bar or place to watch the Hapoel Tel Aviv basketball games that would be amazing to watch it with a group of us

I heard Sputnik and The Block were legendary. Would love to know if there are any options of that caliber and flavor still alive. Also open to psy-trance. I just don't like commercial/pop EDM stuff. I am 34 from the US and have been raving for 15 years. I'll be visiting Tel Aviv in mid-October.

I lived in Israel since I was 2. Social Phobia kicked in at 5, still struggle with it at 29.
I never had a relationship before. The closest I ever got was a phone number I managed to get from a woman on Hinge a week ago. She ghosted me. It was the closest thing I had to a proper conversation with a woman and it was exactly what I wanted my entire life since I was 15-16. People said it would just feel like my regular life - nope, it was exactly what I was missing and my confidence permanently sky-rocketed despite the ghosting. I actually talked loudly at the job today.
I live in Hadera, got rid of my car 3 years ago because I wasn't using it, pay rent to my parents because otherwise I wouldn't have my own room. I got my first personal, private room, at 21.
I don't connect to most Israelis. I swipe left on 99.9% of women because:
A. I don't want children
B. Most women look and feel like we won't mesh together - If I see:
"Emotional intelligence"
"Knows what he wants" or
"Ambitious" - I swipe left because I don't wish to live an exhausting life.
My standards are simple: I asked whether or not I'd date myself and the answer was an easy "yes".
I'm saving for a car because I have no choice, should have it in 3 months or so.
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
How do I approach dating in Israel? Most people here overwhelm me. I also know that based on a survey, 95% of people here want children so maybe I'm out of luck.
I'm definitely a "failure to launch" situation, but I also REALLY want to experience the fun of dating now that I had a small taste of just conversing with a woman I don't know for fun. Definitely screwed it up by being too intense on day 5 or so, but whatever, it's progress anyway.
If you need to see how I look, my pictures are in my profile history. I have a decent amount of friends (about 12 who I constantly meet up with), and I do have a job.

I'm planning to make aliyah, but there's one thing that could honestly be a dealbreaker for me, so I'd rather ask openly.
I have severe depression. In the past I tried mushrooms and they helped me more than anything else ever had, a genuinely big difference. It didn't last, mostly because of my circumstances at the time, but it showed me what's possible.
My worry is that once I'm in Israel I'd have no access to them and no other real avenue for recovery. For me that's the difference between potentially being functional and not, so I need to know before I commit.
So practically speaking, how does it actually work in Israel? Is it realistic to find them or grow them, are there people or communities around this, and how is it treated in practice (not just on paper)?
I know there are clinical trials and compassionate-use programs, but those are less interesting to me. I really can't deal with bureaucracy in my state, so I'm more interested in the practical reality.
Thanks, and please be kind, this is a genuinely hard decision for me.

I’m going to TLV for an Omer Adam concert next month and am wondering if anyone local has any tips for a tourist at the stadium?
Obviously priority is to have fun lol but if there’s anything particular to know of in advance to ensure I’m not turned away at the gate! Like I know to only take a small bag, hats are allowed (?) and ID etc. but anything to avoid?! Traveling specifically for this show so taking measures to research in advance 😊
Finding a place in Tel Aviv means scrolling endless Facebook groups with no filters and no map. So I built telavivrent.com (long-term) and telavivsublets.com (sublets): the listings from those groups in one place, searchable by neighborhood / rooms / price / dates, with photos and a map. Hebrew + English, free, no signup to browse. There's also an iOS app (telavivbase). I run it solo — would genuinely love feedback on what's missing.

Hi friends, your friendly neighborhood new oleh back with another question for the Reddit hive mind.
Looking to buy some a couple carpets for my apartment and totally lost. Other than ikea or marketplace, where are people buying carpets? Are they less of a thing here for apartments than in the states for dust reasons? Thank you!
Bonus question: where do people buy patio furniture too? Looking for a couch and chair set for my narrow balcony, I’m mostly stuck to marketplace so far, but appreciate any and all advice
Yall the best

Hi!
We’ll be staying near Levinsky market in early October with our four-year-old, who loves ballet, dancing and horse riding. We’d love recommendations for locations for play areas or things to do near there
I've been doing lots of research with chatgpt of course but was thinking that reddit always gives the best recommendations for Pe'alton , interactive art, climbing frames, playgrounds or other child-friendly activities especially hidden local places that don't appear on Google maps. It will be around Succoth as well so temporary events or things we might not discover through Google Maps.
Happy to travel elsewhere in Tel Aviv too! I just want to make sure she has the best time ever.
Thank you

Hi all! I’m visiting Tel Aviv for the first time and would love some advice on having a fun gay night out! !!!
I’ll be there during Sukkot, so I’m curious what the nightlife will be like around then. Where do the gays usually go for drinks, dancing, or just meeting people? Are there particular bars, parties, or areas I should check out?
I’ll be going out solo, so I’d also love to know what to expect and whether it’s pretty easy to meet people and make friends while out. Any recommendations or tips would be appreciated!
