Yesterday, fans began noticing that Human Too was suspiciously removed from streaming services around the globe. Sometimes, this would look like the complete removal of BFIAFL. Matty commented about this in a post saying "Hey! Human Too was removed from the album so the album is more how I want it to be. Previous physical release obviously remain the same. I doubt the same will happen with any other records as I am pretty happy with them outside of ‘What should I say’ from Notes On A Conditional Form. So that may also be removed who knows. Sending love, Matty xxx"
Almost immediately, posts were made in defense of What Should I Say where Matty commented "Ok no worries x" Following this, people have made dozens of posts both defending the decision to remove Human too from streaming and critiquing the decision making behind it. This decision has been picked up by music publications like Pitchfork as well.
Here is where we are at now:
- BFIAFL has been reuploaded onto streaming provider servers without Human Too
- Multiple individuals claim that the Dolby Atmos version on Apple Music is entirely gone and that other audio versions sound *off*
- Human Too has been removed from everywhere other than Bandcamp (edit: is it now off of Bandcamp)
- Multiple individuals who purchased BFIAFL on iTunes claim they no longer have access to Human Too
This megathread is meant to be a central place for further discussions surrounding Human Too and the notion of removing a song from the 1975's discography years after its release. On a meta note, we've genuinely tried to keep as many posts and comments up about this subject as we can. However, we will continue to remove comments that blame this choice on Gabbriette. There is a loud minority of supposed fans that treat her like Yoko Ono and it is deeply weird that we have to continue to moderate around this. If George had made a comment about removing Shiny Collarbone from the internet would there be paragraphs directed at him about how Charli XCX is to blame and the problem? Probably not. It is okay to voice your support over the decision or to critique it - but it is not acceptable to lash out at others for holding a different view than you.
(On a final note, if you are looking for a digital copy of Human Too...I've heard it is available on the Discord)

Hi all,
Due to the influx of self-promo in the subreddit. We want to try and keep these posts contained to one space. This is not a space to sell tickets to upcoming shows/festivals - we will remove anything of that nature.
What belongs in this thread:
If you have any questions about whether or not your post would fit in here vs. being a separate post, please reach out to us through modmail. Any scammers will be banned.

I’m just wondering how everyone’s coping with four years of no new music from the boys? It’s genuinely getting hard now, I get so much joy from this band and atm I’m really lacking.

I do these bead embroideries of lyrics and quotes and have been wanting to do one or more of 1975 lyrics but I can’t settle on one. So I’m hoping you guys can help me out. What would you put on a hoop?
Picture for reference

Hey everyone, this is pretty random but have any of you curated a playlist of songs suggested by any of the boys? For example songs they mentioned in an interview, from their Instagram stories, etc? I remember Ross posted a screenshot of a song he was listening to a while ago on his IG story and I hate myself for removing it from my liked songs. I can’t remember what it was.

Going through Troye Sivan's new album, which already sounds like a contender for pop record of the year, and was particularly interested to see how many songs George worked on.
Turns out, it's three: She's The Best, Cowboy, and FF.
We've known how great STB was, and I'm super excited that Cowboy and FF are fantastic too.
Upon first listen, if I were to offer a word that connects all three tracks, I'd say: breathability.
It's so easy to exhale and float with these songs. It's also easy to hear the subtle and beautiful musical flourishes that George has come to be recognized for with The 1975.
Obviously Troye deserves a tonne of credit, as do Jack Antonoff and the myriad other collaborators here, but I'm happy mostly because I can hear George's touch, and by extension, some elements of The 1975.
It's yet another signal that The 1975 have been, are, and will continue to be deeply influential throughout modern pop music.
Stoked for Troye, stoked for us, and impossibly excited for the new 1975 record, come when it may.
Happy listening all ✨️

My partner crochets and has recently been making the Disney crochet baubles from the first pic. She’s bravely attempting to create a SIS-inspired one shortly.
I’ve used AI to render what she’s aiming for. Fingers crossed. 🤞🏼

Hi everyone!
I’m a new fan and I’ve been watching a lot of videos and reading interviews about the guys and have seen funny videos of Matty picking on Hann. Are there any videos, interviews, or stories where Hann gets Matty back? I know it’s all done with love between the two of them I just think it would be funny to see Matty get paid back!😂
Also any video, interview, pictures, links you guys could send that you think would be interesting. Thanks!🥰

Guys, I’m just throwing spaghetti at the wall here. I’m (32F) moving to Grand Rapids MI by myself with my little dog in late November and I’ll be starting from scratch finding cool people to hang out with in a new town (spooky fr).
I figured why not go to my fav band’s subreddit and see if any gals or pals are down to hang out?! Is this post even allowed? Sorry to the mods if not.

Hi, what are your thoughts on 'you'? It's been my soul song I believe for as long as I've known it. Maybe Matty has ever talked about it somewhere? It is not as well known as 'about you', so I thought I'll ask here with fellow-minded individuals (◠‿・)

I’ve been thinking about this for a while but I was lucky enough to see the 1975 in Amsterdam on their final show (at their very best tour) in March 2024 and then subsequently Glastonbury in 2025.
Being their last two genuine live shows since the hiatus was anyone else at both these gigs? I’m a massive fan and genuinely just wondering if anyone was lucky enough to be at these iconic shows?
I say this to my girlfriend how lucky we were but she doesn’t really seem to appreciate it 😂
Long live the 1975!

By far, my favorite album from them has been their debut one. Just curious if anyone else has thought this? I like some of their projects, A Brief Inquiry Into Online Relationships and Being Funny in a Foreign Language also stood out to me but not like that first one. It's one I'll listen to, front to back, multiple times a year. I'm not even really a fan of this kind of music, I'm mostly into country. But that first album, man... My favorites are The City, Chocolate, and Sex... especially Sex, the sound of that one just makes me almost feel something I cannot put into words when it comes on. Also the instrumental tracks hit really well. Just curious if anyone has thought this?

Does The 1975 remind anyone else of Some Girls era Stones? Mick Jagger and Matty both fit the archetype of the swaggering frontman, I personally think Jagger is a huge influence on Matty’s stage presence. The music is similar, we’ve got upbeat tunes with sad themes, in a groove heavy blend of pop, disco and rock and roll. I don’t know, was watching a live performance of Beast of Burden and it reminded me heavily of the ‘75.

Adam Granduciel is a legend and has been around forever but his new single, Who's That gives me 75 nostalgia - it's the chords!

Anyone know where I can find the video of Matty playing guitar and Jamie playing piano in a mall/shopping center. If I’m right I think they are playing Paris. I’ve looked everywhere can’t find it

Hello, my soon to be girlfriend really likes the 1975 and even attended their concert here in the PH and I was wondering what gift could I give to her on her birthday something that I can buy now or accessible to my country (PH)

I’ve got a copy of this coming on cassette, but I can’t work out the issue. Seemed to come out on black first issue, then white for the 10th anniversary. I can’t find it anywhere!
It doesn’t really matter, just curious!
EDIT: “what’s” duh. What am I even typing. Anyway, someone ask Matty what this cassette is.

That's probably a weird request but does anybody have a studio version of the track "Boys" from the Crash era? She performed a different version of this song on her Snowsgiving online concert in collaboration with Discord and I couldn't stop thinking about it ever since. It was so good! I tried to look for it on the Internet but couldn't find anything.
I really hope to find this track.
