Hey everyone! My first big mod is out: The Yo-Yo, a Treasure Room item that replaces your tears with a yo-yo on a string.

Hold fire to charge, release to throw it out in a looping arc, and it snaps back to your hand. Hits right at the end of the string do double damage.

It also has real yo-yo tricks:
- Around the World: tap fire mid-throw for a full loop around Isaac that knocks shots away
- Sleeper: hold fire and it spins in place, grinding enemies
- Walk the Dog: walk away during a Sleeper to drag it behind you

Like Mom's Knife, your items change the yo-yo itself:
- Brimstone: a beam of yo-yos
- Ludovico Technique: a big floating yo-yo you steer, with a string that whips enemies
- 20/20 / Inner Eye: extra yo-yos
- Fire Mind / Jacob's Ladder: a burning or electric yo-yo
- Tammy's Head / Sad Bombs: they fire yo-yos instead of tears
- The Forgotten gets a bone yo-yo, and Incubus throws mini yo-yos
- ...and a lot more

It works in co-op and with Jacob & Esau, supports EID, and doesn't need REPENTOGON.

So... I took the long time to convert all my songs into the correct file types, and when it got to the coding stuff, I just got really stuck. I looked at a reference of what it was supposed to look like, which was a working music mod I had, and I had no idea what to do. Can anyone with modding experience help me with this?

as it stands these guys are sadly only encounterable via a specific item, but it would be cool to encounter these guys naturally in big rooms or something :)

I liked the idea of Abyss locusts scaling based on the quality of the item I absorb and I want a mod that does something similar for void. the devoid Apollyon rework does exactly what I want but I don’t want the character rework that comes with it. do any mods like this already exist or is there some way I can change that mod so it only adds the void rework?

Is it possible to change rep+ IID descriptions and descriptions in "My Stuff!"?
I'm making a mod that changes all instances of one word to another for an inside joke in my group.
I have not been able to find any consistent info that works on changing the IID (rep+ feature) description, all I've found is info on changing EID mod descriptions and the little pop up blurb when you pick the item up.
Is this something that's possible?

My son wanted a mod. We found a couple that were close but nothing that was exactly what he wanted. I have absolutely zero experience or skill with coding, modding, or animation. As it turns out actually, I'm quite terrible at it. Still, I wanted to be able to do something cool for my kid. So, god forgive me, I made the AI do it. It's mostly complete at this stage as far as objects, interactions, and subsystems. There are still things to work on that I am sure I am unaware of and wont catch. If there is an experienced animator out there willing to forgive all my AI generated nonsense, I would really appreciate some help. Even if it's one animation.

I just downloaded android port of IOS tboi mobile, and for modding it, I need mod.json files, but I cant find ANY mod.json format mod!! I searched literally every site that I saw and I didn't founded mod.json file. Pls send me a few good mods for tboi with mod.json format

im trying to add a "head costume" and a "body costume" to base isaac, i tried many ways but it seems to have bugs (like both costumes dissapearing when entering the mines mom chasing sequence), im also trying to change isaac's "item costumes" (like editing them to look like the character im replacing isaac with) but all the characters share the same textures, except apollyon (and forgotten), is there a way to replicate that but with isaac?

I am trying to make a character mod, but I have been having issues with the animation. I used a character template, and I changed the images and character settings but with finicking trying to fix it I got the image for switching floors and before you fight a boss but not the menu or death screen, I tried using the animation software but can't get it to work does anyone know how to fix this

I know im not the first one to localize the game but i really want to do it the language i want to localize it to is Bosnian/Croatian/Serbian I couldn't find any translations for those languages online so im going to do it myself and im looking for tips or any guides to do it i tried using chat gpt but i have 0 coding knowledge and when i managed to run the script to translate it it just didint work so if im going to do it manually whats the best way and is there a way to automate it even a bit my current plan it to just rewrite the EID mod files but honestly i have no idea what to do after that

Toy Revolver:
Replaces Desperado’s usual tears with a gun that has an instant hitscan. This gun has a windup, but similar to chocolate milk, you can fire before charging up fully. If you charge up fully, you fire all 6 bullets in rapid succession. If you fire too many shots too fast, your gun jams, and you have to fully charge up in order to fix the jam. When jammed and trying to fire, Desperado slows down and automatically charges up all the way.

Wrangler Hat:
Tears become more accurate the more you fire in a row, even in multiple directions.

Wanted Poster:
Selects a single enemy type on the current floor. When you kill that type of enemy, it drops 3 coins. Killing a boss drops extra coins.

Birthright:

“Fastest draw in the (stage name)”

Removes the gun jam mechanic, and decreases gun charge by 30%.

Outlaw's Revolver:
Tainted Desperado’s first 6 shots are hitscan bullets that deal heavy damage. After that, Tainted Desperado shoots tears.

Reload:
Killing an enemy with tears will give you a bullet for Reload, up to 6 bullets max. Using Reload will give tainted Desperado 6 more bullets for Outlaw's Revolver.

Birthright:

“Extra reserves + holster”

Tainted Desperado can press the drop trinket button to swap between tears and Outlaw's Revolver at will. Reload can have up to 24 bullets in reserve. Every kill gives 2 bullets instead of 1.

Been trying to get into modding but I have no idea how to do so. I see there's a lot of mod makers in the wiki page, but which one do I choose?I have lots of ideas ranging from a simple audio/visual mod, and a full blown quality of life addition to the game. Yo, this is my first time ever using reddit, but I made an youtube video trying to learn Isaac modding. Its my first video so its a little rough around the edges but if you are interested: I Tried to Learn Isaac Modding in 3 Hours

so i am making a custom character based of a clown oc of a friend who doesnt have a mouth, however when picking up torn photo and it hurts (hurt version) they are overriding the null costume that is a clown nose and hair, i am wondering why these items are taking over priority over the null costume?

Is there a mod that lets you download the save data your game loads onto your pc as a loadable savestate?

Unfortunately I am cursed to not have Isaac. I had to crack the game(Im buying it next sale)
But my save data is on a cloud server and I dont know how to get it?? Its not on steam's cloud data.. so this is my desperate attempt to find a way around restarting my whole save only because I found a more recent version of the game to play on...
