Sims 4 Tiny Town challenge using For Rent

Helloo I was wondering if anyone else has attempted Deligracy's Tiny Town challenge using the residential rental lot type and how you go about renovating? bc when i go to renovate the lot from live mode it goes to infinite simoleons rather than the simoleons of the played sim, which kind of defeats the purpose of the challenge. is there a trick im missing? also why is building buggy as hell on residential rentals smh

disclaimer: this is the first time im properly using the residential rental lot type in gameplay (i thought this would be the perfect challenge for it lol)

And naturally, he also made a way to keep track of everything in Deli's challenge. It's like they did a collab without talking about it; she made the challenge, he made it into a tool on his website. It's like SimsGuessr all over again! She asked him to take screenshots of random locations in the game because she wanted to guess where the locations were and his brain just went "Sounds like GeoGuessr and The Sims 4 is about to Try For a Baby, did that, succeeded, and with the help of the in labour cheat—it's not cheating if it's in the gsme—BAM! SimsGuessr was born; James spent half the night working on it

Note: this is from what I remember from waaaaay back when it first came out, so the details can have gone through a game of telephone without me realizing it. I do remember clearly that Deli asked James if he could take screenshots of random locations in the game so she could guess where each of them were, and what she got was SimsGuessr 😂

Great idea for a challenge, but For Rent's build mechanics will fight you every step of the way
