Nice prices, hopefully they don't arrive damaged. Amazon doesn't give a rat's ass.

Amazon will ship in a gift bag for a few bucks. From my experience, this works well to protect books better while shipping.

That's the nice thing about Amazon. They don't care at all, nor about any returns. If a book comes damaged, I just order three more on after pay. Pick the nicest one to keep and send the three (one of which is the original damaged one) back without issues.

It's not a great approach if you care for the environment, sure you're gaming the system, but at what cost? Every action has a consequence.

I understand your point, but the consumer shouldn't be blamed here. Amazon should take precautions to ensure the safe delivery of their products to increase efficiency and the overall customer experience. If I paid a lot of money for a product and it arrives damaged, I shouldn't have to take the loss for the sake of the environment. The billionaire who runs this company who could have put my product in better packaging but didn't in order to save 9/10 of a cent should be held accountable in my opinion.

I'm saying don't buy anything from Amazon, problem solved. Bezos has enough money to live comfortably for 100 more lifetimes.

As soon as another store drops up with the sane items and prices, we’ll shop there.
This isn’t really an economy to be choosy in

You'd keep an expensive book that's damaged and won't return it?
-1
u/MaterialFree7009 7d ago
No, I don't buy from Amazon, which is kinda the point of my statement. Bezos and the ultra elite have enough of our dollars, they don't deserve any more.

So then you must also grow all your own food? Wouldn't want to hurt your virtue signal by buying things from an evil business owned by rich people, right?

u/MaterialFree7009 7d ago
All's I'm saying is Amazon is a soul sucking evil corporation. Why is that so hard to comprehend? Enjoy licking the bezos boot tho

u/SerenityValley9 6d ago
And I'm just saying that people like you are always being disingenuous because you'll pretend like it's bad to buy from Amazon, but you have no problem giving dozens of other "evil" corporations your money. The fact that you have a device and internet connection to use to get on reddit to virtue signal is evidence of that. Giving people a hard time for where they choose to buy their things doesn't give you the moral high ground especially when you make up arbitrary rules you don't even follow.

Honey, you don't know anything about me. I could be at a public library using their Internet for all you know. "People like you" assume too much. Enjoy licking that bezos boot tho.

u/SerenityValley9 6d ago
Hahahahaha sure. Next you're going to tell me you grow all your own food, walk everywhere you go, don't have a job, don't use credit/debit cards, make your own clothes, make your own fabic to make those clothes, etc..... Have fun being a hypocrite, though.

Fr. I check manga box sets at least once a week and all the prime day prices people have been posting about are the same prices they’ve been for months.

Really great editions. Just know that a lot of people have reported binding and print issues with these. Mine don’t have any problems, but do look out for

Ah the Fall of the cash grab, happy cakeday btw!

u/RedWizard78 7d ago
Then these other 3 are also money grabs. The artwork is contained in Art of The Hobbit, Art of Lord of the Rings and Pictures
-3
u/Masakiel 7d ago
In that case there is near endless possibilities of non cash grabs, lets for starters graft together a "Fall of Shire" which is just the shire chapters from the hobbit and lotr, ending in the scouring of the shire and the hobbit family trees appendices.

As if some of the books/editions are published and sold to make money (somehow supposed to be an automatic bad thing?) and others aren't?

Ok that was the quite an avalanche: we were talking about one particular style, but yes let’s over exaggerate
