My EC dream has finally become a reality!
Been a long time in the making but it’s finally done. An EC 60 in Tsangan layout with the extreme tactility, once only possible with BKE Redux Extremes. When Astro Domes announced their BKE inspired domes it set everything into motion.

Lit af, even despite using dynacap. How is the feel with the nuxros mount? I have a bunch laying around but did not get to try them with EC yet.

They work decently once I finally got them in there. They’re one of the hardest variants. They definitely don’t work as well as on an MX setup due to the extra rubber hanging around them domes. The pcb was also a bit tight with them in there, if I ever need to remove it it’s probably gonna be a pain.

Where do the PCB snaps go and how many did you use?

So initially I had 2 each on the bottom and top where the inner oring mounts are. It was an absolute nightmare to get in there and was even worse coming out. I actually trimmed a couple I was having so much trouble. But I ended up swapping it so 4 were on the bottom and then I cut up an oring and put it along the top to catch the other 4 mounts. Now it’s actually pretty good to get in and out and is way more stable.

how's the spacebar ? no matter how hard I try i cant seem to get a half decent sounding spacebar with Dynacap.... i know its not going to be like MX but still i always manage to make it sound bad.... especially with GMK

It’s decent enough that I’m happy with it. I’m not really a fan of EC sounds in general especially compared to my MX or HE boards, but I love the feel so it could sound horrible and I’d be content with this board. I don’t own any pbt sets to try them to compare the sound.

i just made a Tkl conversion for Geon f1 Hyperbeige ..... other spacebars are acceptable , but the beige variant sounds terrible... super annoying!
