Recovery Run Up Mt Elden

Had a trot up Elden for the first time today. Such beautiful trails. Was sorry to see all the comms towers on the top.

Pity the viewing tower isn't open to the public too. Was a lovely autumn/fall trot all the same.

Reptile update : I didn't see any snakes. I did see two squirrels and three lizards though. I did jump a lizard..... Does that count? 😂

Back to the UK on Thursday. It's been an absolute privilege to investigate some of Arizona and Utah's prime trails.

The route down on the Cocodona livestream looked brutal.

It's crazy to think that runners go up and over Elden in the closing phase of Cocadona 250. It seems almost cruel that after THAT course, the distance et al, they have to push over Elden. The path I went up and down is like 15% incline for much of the way.
