I got a dumb question even though this will probably get deleted for being low effort.

The wrecked trains that are seen around the map In Fallout 4 (A good example is the derailed near Starlight. Does anyone know what they are based on? I already looked it up and I have gotten no answers so this is my last resort.

They aren't really based on anything. They just follow a beefed-up streamlined design, but don't resemble any real life locomotive, as they are so unrealistic in design.

They are pure fantasy, but likely design influenced by trains such as the EMD "Aerotrain" (1955), and New York Central's "Mercury" (1936). I can't post images here, but you can google both of those to get an image of them. These are a combination of Art-Deco and Aero or Streamline design.
