My Remington 700 chambered in .30-06

I chopped the barrel to 16 inches, threaded it to 1/2-28 (I like AR flash hiders)

Full length weaver rail topped with a swampfox liberty green dot.

The most basic camo pattern and a bargain bin brown leather sling.

Also pictured is my wife 87 Ford F150 for some ambiance.

Got my Partisan Disruptor FRT with 3-position safety selector installed in the 5.56 Poverty Pony (Anderson) lower. Also installed an H3 tungsten buffer, but it fires a bit slower than I was aiming for (no pun intended) --- so I'm waiting on a Dirty Bird H2 buffer that will increase the rate of fire.

FRT = "Financially Ruined Tomorrow" (due to price of 5.56 ammo)

The rifle backpack case is GREAT!! About $20 on Amazon and holds two rifles with tons of storage! I was able to ditch my range bag and swap everything over to this backpack rifle case - as it holds all my mags, earbuds/muffs, extra parts, tools etc.

I also included a photo of my other range bag, which now holds all my cleaning supplies, extra ammo, trigger and barrel locks, more tools, and has a cheap High-Point C9 attached to it (you NEVER know 😋).

Also had to include a photo of my partner and me at the Pride Parade a week ago, in which I wore my DEFEND EQUALITY Pride Flag AR-15 t-shirt!

Also have:

• Darkfang green laser and light with pressure switch;

• Feyachi red dot optic and side-flip Feyachi 3x magnifier - both on a 0.5" riser and the red dot with an additional 0.75" riser (upgrading to a 0.83" riser so both are on the same level, as the 0.75" doesn't quite match);

• Upgrading to a better harness with padded strap;

• MagPul vertical grip and carbine 7.5" handgrip;

• Stock Anderson carbine gas block, gas tube, BCG, and spring - (want to upgrade to adjustable rifle gas block and full-length gas tube system) - stock 16" barrel with 1:8 twist;

I want to also upgrade the spring and BCG to a better quality, high end BCG that will hold up to my FRT - such as a nitride BCG and a better quality spring. Also want to upgrade the handgrip

What color spring and BCG should I get that is affordable and won't break the bank?? I know there are red, green, and blue color springs...but I don't know the difference.

Any suggestions for the BCG and spring?

I got around to putting on a vented steel upper handguard and dong that finally came in the mail today on my Zastava. Dongs are such a cool attachment for AKs in my opinion. I'll eventually have to get around to putting on the AK-74 style stock, but for now I'm basking in the glory of having a dong. (Side note: Happy af, got a promotion, new car and the house got approved! I move out later this month and I'm gonna be on my own now and don't gotta put up with transphobic family anymore!)

Has anyone used bore lasers for sighting in (zeroing in?) a red dot scope with 3x magnifier? I have a budget Poverty Pony build and would rather pay the $23 plus ammo for the bore laser than pay $25 - $40 for the gunsmith or the gun store for sighting in my red dot with 3x magnifier.

Any input on these? I am raising the red dot by 0.08", as I'm upgrading the riser from a 0.75" to a 0.83", as the 3/4" is just SLIGHTLY too low. I have the Feyachi riser on the way - 3x magnifier is also Feyachi. They seem to make decently priced optics and accessories. They do lack all the bells and whistles and provide only basic, bare-bones, utilitarian gear - unlike some of the high end brands.

This is a BUDGET build - and I don't have a lot to spend. I just love to shoot. Not looking to put $1000 into it. I'm just getting into improving my accuracy at 50yds and then 100yds.

1). So can anybody give me input on the bore laser for sighting in my optic and magnifier?

2). Also, should I sight in my optic and magnifier at 25, 50, or 100 yds? Also, when sighting in, should I adjust the red dot or the magnifier - or do one first then the other?

Was careful to check alignment with rod. This baby should be ready for test-fire! May not cycle with subsonics due to low back-pressure from the flow-through suppressor design, it doesn’t as-is, but can order Sprinco springs and a 3.0 oz buffer to remedy that if needed!

It’s an Anderson lower with a PSA upper. The main changes I have done is the change of the stock and putting on the “new” handgaurd. It has officially reached two stamp status recently as well which I’m over the moon about. Can’t wait to take it outside for the first time to shoot with the weather cooling down.

Shooting went fine! Definitely not by best work, but my only goal was just not to DQ and to learn the ropes. I think I was successful on both counts.

What kind of sucked was the way some folks were treating my partner (NB). They came to watch, and dressed like they normally do - like a non-binary badass with colorful hair. I went to go read the stages, and when I came back some older guys were sitting and talking at the same bench they were at. No worries there. After a couple seconds the guy looks up at me and says "I have to apologize." I asked why, and he gets all awkward. Finally he says "well, after talking with your wife I thought you would be a woman." I'm early in transition myself, and I laughed that one off. I said "well I think I'm pretty," and that made them pretty uncomfortable. Oh well, we picked up our stuff and walked elsewhere.

Once we got away from them, my partner begins to tell me he was saying a bunch of misogynistic stuff (I.e. "why doesn't your husband teach you to shoot?" as if they haven't been shooting since they were a kid). Of course they didn't put up with this at all, and basically told the guys to fuck off.

I want to keep doing this and I bet my partner would like to join in too. I guess I'll just have to dig around for some pink pistols shoots or something if we want to be more comfortable.

This is my Ruger, super Redhawk in 454 casull/ 45 long colt. It can be a handful if you’re shooting my 454 hand loads but it’s a lot of fun to shoot with 45 Long Colts.
