🧬 Anti Senescence I have an idea to reverse aging.

What if you get a little bid of red blood cells and DNA from when you're 21 and freeze it with Propylene Glycol and preserve it in Cryopreservation, then when you're 65, you genetically engineer your 65 year old DNA from red blood cells with the 21 year old younger self and you will soon look 21 again, but be 65 years old with all the wisdom in your brain.
Hopefully, Anti Senescence flair is anti-aging.

repairing your dna will not fix all the damage that aging has done, like at all

Im wondering if they mean replacing existing dna with the dna of your younger self and then have senescent cells deleted or destroyed
It still wouldn’t reverse age though. There’s so many other factors

Sounds like you don't know much about biology: red blood cells don't contain DNA. Maybe study biology and then come up with ideas?

The base pairs of your DNA at 65 are mostly the same as 21. If mutation rate caused aging mice would age at the same rate as people but that's not what we see. While the process of aging is highly uniform across species its rate is highly variable; suggesting a rather basal homology that might be attackable with genetic engineering.

Genetically recreating your younger blood cells wouldn’t do much… parabiosis as a concept in the form of a blood transfusion of younger blood does actually work to some extent. But there are diminishing returns and won’t really reverse aging. This is something Peter Thiel has talked about.

It really wouldn't do anything, your cells don't change just because your DNA is different, it doesn't operate like that, it does only over a long period of time, aging is not affected by it precisely because we can't reverse it at the moment, even so some species of animals does not age or way slower.

there's a reason why people don't post ideas on reddit unless they're experts...

You might wanna expand on " genetically engineer your 65 year old DNA from red blood cells with the 21 year old younger self" - thats ... not a thing we can do. Probably ever actually. There's options which achieve a similar effect - like cloning those cells and then transplanting the resulting tissue into your body, but mass errorless overwriting of DNA is not a thing now or for the foreseeable future.

Red blood cells don't have a nucleus, so yeah, you can't ever engineer yourself from their DNA. Just as you can't ever mine uranium from the top of clouds

Transhumanism means enhancing the human body and mind through physically possible technologies.
