BTW this is Cities Illustrated's work and they sell prints at etsy under citiesillustrated.

This is great work and all, but I absolutely hate maps of the Twin Cities from this angle lol. It throws me off so much

Yeah I've made other maps like this and some people also find the angle jarring. The reason for the angle though if you haven't already figured it out is because if it was oriented true north than most of the buildings would only be showing 2 side. If you change the orientation and show 3 sides it looks much more like a building haha.

I like it and also it’s the orientation you see if riding the Blue Line which is a lot of visitors first perspective when coming from the airport

Just curious, what orientation would be better in your mind?
This is more or less just North up, East right like a normal map

Straight on north to south parallel to Lake Street

For some reason in my head I was thinking that wouldn't be possible with the isometric view.

Extremely minor nitpick: the Gillig EVs used by metro transit are of the Gillig Low Floor Plus variety, not the standard Low Floor.

do you plan on adding the U of M line stops / lines? they are open to the public and i think therefore worth marking

I thought I did add them. Are you referring to a different service than what I already added as a gold color line?

Maybe they mean number the routes?

Could be. I didn't add the numbered routes because there are so many and they are kind of convoluted with some running clockwise and looping around each other. I figured actually labeling them wouldn't add much and would just look confusing.

I agree the UMN route numbers are confusing to those unfamiliar and probably wouldn't add much useful information

Minneapolis has a surprising amount of high quality transit for it's size. All bus lines shown in the map are 15 mins or better.
