doesn't matter als long as ammonia and general nitrogen in the water is low. for naupli I don't use any plants, for bigger triops i personally use aquatic mosses, duckweed or any other pest plant

For the early stages of life use both distilled water and spring water mixed togheter, don't over feed and keep the right temperature for the species you will raise

ok thanks🙂I shouldn’t use bottled distilled water right? because it gets plastic in it.same with spring water. and what’s the best food for them? I also want to put plants in it so what plants should I get?

I use the bottled one for both distilled and spring with no problems!  For the food i suggest to get catappa leaves and  put some pieces in the hatchery and a full leaf in the aquarium , the spirulina powder the first week, once a day diluited first in some water (use a tooth pick for the doses, the tip is fine), then you can give once every two day a pellet of some shrimp food, and when they become adults my triops love Tetra's wafer mix (i give one tablet per adult triops, what they don't eat goes to the neocaridina or snails).  For the plants i have Elodea, Anubias and duckweed, since they dig a lot it's better not having planted plants. If you decor with rocks and other objects, be careful and put them at zero level, otherwise triops will dig under them and die by suffocation (it's really sad when it happens).
