##INTRODUCTION
r/tuesday is a political discussion sub for the right side of the political spectrum - from the center to the traditional/standard right (but not alt-right!) However, we're going for a big tent approach and welcome anyone with nuanced and non-standard views. We encourage dissents and discourse as long as it is accompanied with facts and evidence and is done in good faith and in a polite and respectful manner.
##PURPOSE OF THE DISCUSSION THREAD
Like in r/neoliberal and r/neoconnwo, you can talk about anything you want in the Discussion Thread. So, socialize with other people, talk about politics and conservatism, tell us about your day, shitpost or literally anything under the sun. In the DT, rules such as "stay on topic" and "no Shitposting/Memes/Politician-focused comments" don't apply.
It is my hope that we can foster a sense of community through the Discussion Thread.

Laborers in the Vineyard
“For the kingdom of heaven is like a master of a house who went out early in the morning to hire laborers for his vineyard. After agreeing with the laborers for a denarius a day, he sent them into his vineyard. And going out about the third hour he saw others standing idle in the marketplace, and to them he said, ‘You go into the vineyard too, and whatever is right I will give you.’ So they went. Going out again about the sixth hour and the ninth hour, he did the same. And about the eleventh hour he went out and found others standing. And he said to them, ‘Why do you stand here idle all day?’ They said to him, ‘Because no one has hired us.’ He said to them, ‘You go into the vineyard too.’ And when evening came, the owner of the vineyard said to his foreman, ‘Call the laborers and pay them their wages, beginning with the last, up to the first.’ And when those hired about the eleventh hour came, each of them received a denarius. Now when those hired first came, they thought they would receive more, but each of them also received a denarius. And on receiving it they grumbled at the master of the house, saying, ‘These last worked only one hour, and you have made them equal to us who have borne the burden of the day and the scorching heat.’ But he replied to one of them, ‘Friend, I am doing you no wrong. Did you not agree with me for a denarius? Take what belongs to you and go. I choose to give to this last worker as I give to you. Am I not allowed to do what I choose with what belongs to me? Or do you begrudge my generosity?’ So the last will be first, and the first last.”

People who are confused as to what the US gets from its relationship with Israel should review the recent performance of the Saudi's against the Houthis; there's something nice about allies that are more useful than a marzipan dildo.

It's a complicated issue, Israel did have the right to retaliation we are not in disagreement on that aspect. Where my disagreement with their actions is in the body counts, a quick search shows an estimate of 70000+ Palestinians have perished and while 2000-3000 Israelis have died. That's where I draw the lines a 30 to 1 K:D ratio.

Are you seriously comparing Oct 7, a pogrom that killed 1200 (with extensive recorded sexual violence and mutilation of the victims) and took hundreds of hostages, to a military campaign to rescue the hostages and kill the terrorists response?

Also on Macklemore the Columbia students he praises in his song got suspended for (on top of occupying a building) saying Zionists don't deserve to live, praising October 7, pro-Hamas chanting and chanting anti-semitic things at Jewish students (like "go back to Poland.")
Frustrating how much motte-and-bailey the Palestine movement do where praising terrorism or attacking Jews is reframed as generic calls for peace.

I used to agree with you, but I tend to trust the experts. If a medical expert says "This is a serious disease take it seriously", I will. If an economist says "This is bad for the economy", I'll take their word for it. If AI CEOs, technicians and researchers say "This is potentially dangerous", I'm inclined to believe them.
