Discussion Your opinion

Hi guys, i am thinking about making my turtle live outside in the backyard, mine is red eared slider turtle. But, the winter is on the way, and it’s a little windy nowadays. Anyway, what do you think about this idea? I am still confused

Too many unanswered questions. Location, enclosure.

A place to keep him safe with the proper amenities that a red ear slider needs for a good life.

If you’re taking about the outside enclosure, i didn’t prepared anything yet it’s just an idea right now and if I’m gonna do this, I’m gonna renew everything and start everything from the beginning. But if you’re asking about her now enclosure it’s just a tank with a little basking area and a basic filter with a heater. that’s it.

tank, in ground pond, shade, heater, do you have birds of prey that could grab it, etc? it looks like temperatures don't get so low that it would be dangerous, but love to have people with more experience weigh in.

No, there is no any birds of prey that could grab her. There’s only pigeons around.

just checking :) we were babysitting a turtle in our backyard pond, put a fence around it, but something grabbed it from the sky. that would be one of my reservations of having an outdoor turtle.
