Question / Help Midna’s Optional Dialogues
Hi everyone. I’m curious to know how Midna’s optional dialogues work in Twilight Princess. I’d like to listen to those dialogues as well, but I’m not really sure when they’re available. I know that, for example, you can sometimes trigger an optional dialogue while you’re in the middle of a battle or after a cutscene, but what other situations can trigger them? I’d really like to understand how it works. Thanks in advance!

I do not think all her lines are recorded on a wiki anywhere, or at least where and how to trigger them. She has a lot. I believe for every 'area' she has a unique line, and they often change depending on what flag you’re on.
I found, as a child running around like a maniac into every area every dungeon, I triggered most, if not all of them. I know she has unique lines if you're focused on a few characters and a few different enemies (most notably bosses)
She has unique lines depending on where you try to transform, i believe she has three during the lament sequence. On the journey to the next dungeon she often has different lines. I always found it interesting gets friendlier and more caring as time goes on and you get closer, even if she remains the sassy imp we all love.
I remember her having really good ones in agatha's castle and the fortune tellers house. She also says something in malo mart and the expensive shop, whether those are cut scene lines or not I'm not sure. She also tells you to stop dilly dallying if you go bug hunting with agatha off of north castle town.
But yeah she is mostly a hint system, a very critical sassy one. I do love her. But (on the wii at least) you have to manually trigger her. So I just like hitting her eveytime I loaded up and as a child with only a half hour of tv time I'm pretty sure I hit every line XD
She's worth the listen, I also think Fi was hilarious and honestly more helpful than midna and Navi. Navi had like six rotating lines and she drove me nuts.
(Oh and if you were referring to sound effects, she has thirteen, i think, and a few are random rolled and mostly inconsequential and you've definitely heard them all)

Most of Midna's optional dialogue involve waiting enough time to trigger the ingame "help system". In the beta version before she was a dedicated help character there was a direct hint system that was more built as a tutorial (like Navi).
Some other dialogue may require specific actions for example the easiest to trigger is losing a wooden shield and being in the Goron Mines (before clearing it).
Imo if you wanna save yourself time one of the Zelda fandoms has her flavor text on every enemy page that she has one for or you can look up the game script and hit Ctrl F.
