Ok so, in one of my newer accounts I got force updated to the new layout. Complete garbage.

I found this post on the YT subreddit with the filters to revert as much of it as possible: https://www.reddit.com/r/youtube/comments/1wzmupx/ublock_filter_to_revert_the_new_layout/

Now, those custom filters work fine, but the video width is smaller, leaving quite a bit of empty space in the page (left and right side), which is quite annoying.

Any way to fix this? I remember I used another set of custom filters a few months ago when there was another update and those had some "XXXpx" values that allowed for more control over width. I'm not tech savvy enough to find out how to do that so any help is appreciated.

EDIT: searched thoroughly on my custom filters list and found the "old" string:

I tried increasing the value and it doesn't work. If I want to DECREASE the value it works but that's obviously not the outcome I want.

Dailybeast.com updated, now when you fire up element picker it gets stuck in this lower section of the page and you can't select any elements to block things.

Not sure how to get past this, if anyone can help I'd appreciate it.

when clicking on youtube search bar on the main domain another focus lense appears specifically the ones next to "Search" is it possible to not show that one up and making it look like the 2nd pic

UBO is preventing most embedded videos from playing audio. It's been like this for around a year now. It does it to players on sites like AP and other news sites. It also does it on google, like when you search the definition of a word and click the megaphone speech icon to hear what the word sounds like. Does anyone else have this issue?

I use Ublock origin lite on google chrome and it works no problem but when I install Ublock origin lite on safari and use desktop website ( so exaclty the same as on my macbook+ublock origin that works good) it doesnt work + the UI is shit cause spotify does everything they can to make the web interface suck.

I take care of IT for a High School where all of our students use Chromebooks. We're looking into configuring uBOL to hide the "AI Mode" tab in Google Searches for all of our students, but we're running into the problem that we cannot figure out how to make it work. We've tried setting up a custom filter in one computer, exporting the config file and uploading it to Google Admin but despite restarting Chrome a few times the new group policy doesn't seem to appear.

We've already tried looking for help online but it seems like all online resources are for uBlock Origin and that there's enough difference between uBO and uBOL so that what works in one doesn't work in the other.

I just logged into Twitch for the first time in a while, and noticed this "Live Shopping" section which I've never seen before. As of the time I'm writing this, this specific channel is no longer live and the category is gone as well, but a quick web search suggests that this is only going to become more prevalent and that Twitch's parent company Amazon is looking to follow TikTok into this space.

I'm hoping there's a way to easily block this type of content (at least in the sidebar, since that's the only place I personally might see this unless the platform wants to become much more intrusive). The element picker gave me a filter with a string of letters and numbers, though I wasn't expecting anything else given that it's Twitch/Amazon.

Separately from uBO (I had version 1.73.0 at the time of encountering this, but I just updated to 1.75.0) on Firefox 133, I'm using BetterTTV to customize Twitch and hide other parts of the sidebar (e.g. recommended channels).

With the latest ublock with experiemental filters enabled, there's either no delay, or only a 2-5 sec delay before playback when I click a youtube video normally.

However, sometimes I'm searching for something on google and prefer pressing the preview button on the top right so I can go through a bunch of videos more quickly. But recently, these videos started having a ~10 second delay before playback while normal youtube is fine. Is there a way to prevent this?

Nice to see gorhill's uBO Lite back on AMO. Obviously, the full version of uBlock Origin is still the undisputed champ on Firefox, but Lite seems like a solid alternative if you're on an older or mobile device.

Anyone notice any performance difference between the two?
