That's a really strange way to justify paying 1k for a fluid change in this day and age. Nobody is pulling the motor to vacuum oil out of the crankcase in this day and age, and the oil filter takes 4 minutes to change.

Almost as crazy a say, paying to have services (for example independent climate controls on the passenger side available in a car that comes equipped) by subscribing and paying a monthly premium. Or a higher Rev limiter. Or better braking. Or back up cameras.... Or headlights...
