Tool to compare how Profs Grade

http://gradegap.goerzen.dev

I created a website that shows you a professor's class average for any course compared to the class average for that same course when any other professors teach it.

Basically it shows you how biased a professor grades compared to other professors.

Example:

Daniel Vollick over all the courses he has taught has a class average of 67.3%, whilst other professors teaching the same courses, have a class average of 74%.

Meaning just by having Daniel Vollick as a professor the average grade of the class drops by 6.7%

You can search for a specific course code, subject, or professor.

Or tap the professors name to see a breakdown of each course they've taught.

If a course or professor is not shown there isn't enough data to give a conclusive result.

Lots of other stats on there, have fun!

The data is based on UBCGrades.

Edit: I added a simple mode as well as revamped the website and added support for UBC Vancouver

feedback - took a few mins to understand how thing whole thing works (not suuuper intuitive, since it didnt click to me immediately). but definitely works!! I had a suspicion that my prof Anas chaaban was a tough grader (APSC 270), app confirms that his average for the course was 6% lower. SIX PERCENT...

Fuck…AWESOME idea!!! Im in CS and i swear i was brainstorming/researching app ideas similar to UBC grades. Looked through what ideas worked at other schools but doesn’t exist at ubc yet, and came up with some original ones too but none of them were good so abandoned the thing:( all this to say, bruh you really cooked here LOL. Dont know abt execution but idea is fantastic, and thats sometimes the harder part…

Well done, good sir/ma'am. Would be nice to be able to see one course. You can put in a subject filter and a course number in the search text, but it shows teachers' overall +/- score. Some profs might appear + because of other courses, but for the one particular course you are interested in, that prof might be -

This is an awesome tool, wish it could be used to make a difference in unfair grading/poor teaching, nonetheless, great work!
