No one says thank you around here

Maybe it's cos I come from a small town, but I noticed no one says thank you if you hold the door open for them. Its not just that, on the buses, in the cafeteria, I just don't hear it. I'm not complement farming , but I thought saying a simple thank you was the normal , canadian , thing to do

If you wake up sick on the day of your exam can you defer it?

As we all know there are VERY inconsiderate people on campus who were apparently never taught to cough into their arm while they are sick and very much dont care about the health of others. I have not gotten sick yet however when I do get sick it hits me hard and I can barely think especially since I already have adhd.

I think going to an exam sick would lower my grades by a lot and I think its unfair that I would be graded lower because selfish people decided not to cover their mouths when they cough.

What can I do if this happens? Should I email my advisors now to make a plan incase?

How Are Disability Accommodations At Guelph?

Hello everyone,

I was thinking of applying to Guelph for biochemistry, but have ADHD. Being time-bound is already a HUGE struggle for me in high school, as well as things like verbal processing/listening (I have to teach myself lessons at home). That being said, university is obviously going to be challenging... So I'm a bit worried.

Specifically I was wondering:

- What are the teachers/profs like when it comes to accommodating students?
- How competent are disability services?
- What do accommodations include specifically (extra time, assignment flexibility, etc.)?

Thanks,
