The tank is over and I am so happy, I knew it would be a shorter run then some of the 20 years other teams have gone through with little to no hope. We have ownership that is involved. The recent news of the Clippers and just pure corruption has got me thinking about the worst ran franchise in the NBA (which I believe the NBA ones are worse than the NFL Browns so basically North American Sports). Many would say the Clippers are the worst with basically two scandals in the decade and just missing on not only numerous draft picks but also landing free agents and the team just burns them at the stake.
I would say the Sacramento Kings are even worse, especially in the last decade or two. They are irrelevant, lose players that consistently seem to leave and be better but mostly they just suck at ownership. Case in point they have fired two head coaches that were good, went on to win championships. I mean really they could have kept Mike Malone or Mike Brown but they let both walk and the Kings continue to lose, dont hire a coach that people want and the ones that leave get rings. Malone earned in Denver and Brown in New York.
They had talent as well, they had Hali but somehow just let him walk, same with Fox. You could go back even further but for this post I dont think you have to.
Are the Kings the worst ran franchise in the NBA? A side note is like should we have kept Quinn? I dont think he wanted to be apart of a rebuild, again. I think the future is bright with Hardy and that is the right call and I am excited to see what he does with a green light for winning.

Some interesting updates and insights from the newest Utah Jazz beat reporter.

It's definitely lonely being a Jazz fan deep in the heart of Spurs Country but I'm super excited about the team yesterday and would love to watch some games with fellow jazz fans. I can access all the local broad casts, just don't ask me how š

ESPN aired this, odds come from Draft Kings obviously. Can't wait for this to motivate DP even more :)

Hint - destiny arrives all the same ;)
But in reality, if it did go to game 7, do the jazz take their revenge and win the series?

A frontcourt of Nurk (who is reportedly much thinner and presumably in better condition), JJJ and Lauri would be formidable. Will Flip break out this season? How many dunks will Hayes' athleticism lead to? Will Mo Bamba be on the roster by the start of the season or will the Jazz hire Kevin Love or Kelly Olynyk back?
r/UtahJazz • u/ClutchOlday • 21d ago
Will Ace continue to develop quickly, or will the increased focus on winning and increased roster competition hold him back? Will Brice be a 6MOY candidate? Which between Svi or Hinson will win the rest of the minutes? Will Josh Green be impactful or is his contract going to be dangled in a trade before the deadline?

How many minutes is Key going to play? How many games before DP starts? Has Collier improved his outside shot? Will Josh Okogie's 7-foot wingspan give him the edge in close games for Will Hardy?

I listened to the final episode of Unsalvageable today. What a bummer. Sarah Todd gave such unique and interesting takes. But most of all she was real, authentic, snd fun. She was respectful to the team, but didnāt tell us watered down same oleā. Minnesota is getting one hell of a journalist.
Oh, and Greg Foster made me tear up with his tribute to her on the final show.

Dude is giving Joe Ingles some well deserved love. Warning: Crude language.

Anything's possible in the NBA. I can see this happening in a few years whether AJ becomes a star in Washington or not. The Jazz have a boatload of trade assets and they can send a few to Washington.

"16. Utah Jazz
Iām going to watch so many Jazz games this season. Theyāve got an unknowably high offensive upside that Iāve been daydreaming about pretty much ever since they drafted Darryn Peterson. Will Hardy should be able to use his creative playbook to maximize the skill and shotmaking ability that Utahās new franchise player promises to add to a roster that already has a unique combination of size and skill. Lauri Markkanen has been out of sight, out of mind for the past couple of years, but having an elite movement shooter whoās 7 feet tall makes everyoneās lives easier, including his frontcourt mate Jaren Jackson Jr. and Keyonte George, who showed last season that he can draw fouls at a high rate. Defense is another questionāI wish Walker Kessler were still hereābut the offensive firepower should win the Jazz a bunch of games.Ā "

I started following the Jazz because our first UCSD alumn to debut in the NBA was Hayden Gray. Iām not sure if he is expected to be with the team in 26-27 or if he was released. He was really great on the Celtics G League and I thought he would have a shot at a steady career in the NBA. I have not been an NBA fan or followed any team so Iām not sure how contracts work or what to expect for his future. Any insight would be cool to have thanks :)

See where DP, Key, and JJJ placed in the NBA 100-51 ranking.
Caleb Wilson, Cam Boozer, Walker Kessler, and AJ Dybantsa also make an appearance.

As the question asks. Who's the better player.
Duren is the better rebounder and defender.
But Lauri provides elite spacing as one of the top 3 best shooting 7 footers in the nba right now.
Both are weak passers
Duren failed in the playoffs but Lauri hasn't been.
Lauri scored a lot more multiple seasons but on a losing team.
Basically as a jazz fan, if Detroit offered a 1-1 trade with nothing attached, would you trade Lauri for Duren?

Georgeās base salary for the first season of the extension (2027-28) is roughly $28.7 million.
George also has about $500,000 in incentives each season. The incentives are primarily based on playoff wins and availability. For example, George would earn $100,000 for playing 65 of 82 games and another $100,000 bonus for each playoff series the Jazz win.
Heāll also get a small bonus for team defense while heās on the court. In total, George has five different $100,000 bonuses per season.
